Poems
In a tower far, far away
There lived a princess.
She spent everyday happily with her dragon
Each day was filled with happiness
On a gloomy day,
A prince showed up in the distance
He called forth the mighty dragon
Was he here to the princess' assistance?
A sword gleams in the dark
And tries to pierce the dragon's heart
Luckily he misses as the dragon flies away.
Is he trying to tear them apart?
Before the prince can try again,
The dragon spit flames at the prince with great aim.
The flames engulf the prince.
And the prince is set aflame.
When the flames die down,
The prince was still.
Relieved the dragon returned to the tower,
To see if the princess was still on the windowsill.
From her window, she touched his head.
And was relieved that he was safe.
Together they stayed like this for a while,
Ignorant that the dragon was still unsafe.
The prince had sneaked up on them,
And raised his sword high
And stabbed the dragon in his neck
All while saying and evil 'goodbye'
Pain and shock filled the dragon's eyes
As he roared in pain.
And the mighty dragon fell to the floor
And the princess felt as if she had been hit by a train.
She broke her chains that bound her.
And sprinted down the spiral stairs.
Ran outside to her beloved dragon
"Don't die for I love you too much!" she declares
Sobbing she hugs the dying dragon
Trying to stop the bleeding from his wound
Saying that he'll be ok again and again.
Alas a simple handkerchief cannot save such a fatal wound.
As the seconds ticked away,
The dragon whispered his love to the princess.
And heaved a final breath as he closed his eyes.
The princess' brightful world, took a sharp turn and was filled with darkness.
