A/N: Short little fic that popped into my head while I was supposed to be writing my history essay (:
Disclaimer: I don't own anything.
"Why Blair?! Out of all people why would you go to Chuck?" Nate yelled. They were in the middle of a heated argument on the steps of the met after Nate found out about her and Chuck. "Tell me why you would got to my best friend after we were broken up for maybe an hour tops."
And then she thought. She thought of the reasons why she went to Chuck that night, and kept going back to him.
Because he expressed an interest in my feelings.
Because he gave me the courage to go up on stage at Victrola.
Because he didn't make the first move.
Because he asked if I was sure before we went any further than a kiss.
Because he was gentle and caring towards me.
Because he had butterflies.
Because he bought me the Erickson Beamon necklace.
Because he kissed my shoulder.
Because he comforted me when you let me down once again.
Because he treated me as more than an accessory.
Because he did whatever it took to get me back, even though I wasn't appreciative at first.
Because he was actually upset, not angry, when I went back to you.
"Because he was there when you weren't." She simply stated.
Nate rolled his eyes and turned to walk away, thinking the statement was ridiculous. This set Blair off. Who was he to walk away from her? She suddenly blew up. She started speed walking towards him and cutting him off before he could get anywhere. She began to rattle off all the reasons she just thought of.
Nate just stood there, staring at her. He had no response. He couldn't argue with anything she just said.
And then it happened. Blair saw Chuck standing on the steps right near them, looking at their confrontation. Her eyes widened and she blushed. Nate looked behind him to see what she was looking at and saw Chuck making his way towards them. Once he got closer her cheeks grew even pinker.
"How much did you hear?" She asked.
"Enough." He simply stated with his trademark smirk plastered on his face.
And then he kissed her. Right there, for anyone to see. Chuck pulled her into an extremely passionate kiss. Hesitant at first, she finally gave in and went into it. That moment, they didn't care if any saw, if anyone tipped off Gossip Girl, and even about Nate, who was still standing right next to them in complete shock.
They pulled apart and smiled at each other.
"Wanna go back to my suite?" he asked her.
Blair rolled her eyes at his pervyness coming back, but still smiled. She grabbed his arm and pulled him in the direction of the hotel leaving everyone, including Nate, in shock of what had happened.
And then everyone's phones vibrated, thanks to Gossip Girl.
