Zelda took off her flip flops as she stepped onto the sand of the beach. She smiled as the sand filled the crevices of her toes. Link hopped onto the patch of sand behind her and grinned. It had been a while since he'd seen her in a bikini. He stepped past her. "I'm gonna set up over there," Link said as he pointed in a vague direction. Zelda nodded and walked behind him. Link was carrying multiple bags and the only thing in Zelda's hands were her shoes. Link unloaded the foldable chairs as Zelda looked at her surroundings. The kids to her left were feeding seagulls and a woman to her right was tanning with her iPod earbuds in her ears. Zelda turned around to observe more, but paused when the man in the lifeguard tower made eye contact with her. The man was about her age and had blue hair and matching eyes. He was definitely toned and wearing black trunks. He smiled at her. Zelda blushed and waved flirtatiously. Link elbowed Zelda.
"Owww!" She exclaimed, rubbing her upper arm. Link merely looked at her.
"Sorry." Zelda made a face. Her and Link weren't actually going out but he liked to think so. Zelda was obviously leading him on, she thought of Link as a brother- not that she'd ever tell him that. As a princess, Zelda really enjoyed the attention. She began walking to the surf and stopped when she was up to her mid-thigh in the ocean water. She turned to see the lifeguard watching her, but he immediately looked away when he noticed Link giving him death glares. Damn it. Zelda frowned and continued out into the water. When she was up to her hips, she noticed a little group of fish swimming by her. She smiled.
Though Zelda was a princess, the littlest things fascinated her. She was allowed anything she wanted, except freedom. So on her previous birthday, that's what she asked for. Her parents reluctantly allowed it but Zelda was overjoyed. Since then she's been in awe of every detail of life, no matter how big or small.
Zelda swam out further and began to feel the pull of the current. Suddenly, a huge wave crashed over her. "Holy shit!" She exclaimed as she got back up to the surface. She flipped the brown hair out of her eyes just in time to see another wave hit her.
The blue haired man stood up from his point on the lifeguard tower and jumped into the pile of sand below him. He ran straight past Link and dove directly into a crashing wave. He swam out further until he was able to grab the unmoving girl and fight the current back to the beach. The blue haired man put Zelda down on the sand and Link ran over immediately, holding a bag of Cheetos.
"What happened?" Link asked. He had obviously been too busy glaring at the other man the whole time, not paying any mind to Zelda.
"The current." The other man answered shortly. "I think she needs mouth to mouth." As the blue haired leaned forward and prepared to use resuscitation, Link threw his arm in front of him.
"Like hell you are!" Link exclaimed. The blonde leaned down and kissed Zelda, who still lay on the beach, unmoving.
"Resuscitation, you dumbass!" The man in the black trunks exclaimed and began mouth to mouth on Zelda. When he was done, Zelda sat up slowly and looked at Link and the other man in front of her. Her attention focused on the blue haired man.
"Name?" She asked, with the flirtiest tone she could muster.
"Marth." He responded, flashing a grin. Link was sitting there, his face looking like it had gotten a really bad sunburn. "We need to get you some swimming classes." Zelda smirked to herself. She definitely knew how to swim- and play dead too.
This is a one-shot I decided to write, personally, I don't like it that much. The story picture was found on page/71 - it isn't mine! So, review and tell me how I did. Thanks for reading!
