"I just feel comfortable around him", Alec said shyly to Isabelle. They were seated in the kitchen of the institute around a marble table. Alec avoided looking up at her as he played with the bottom of his black shirt with his trembling fingers. Isabelle heard a low buzzing sound; she raised an eyebrow at Alec. He reached into his pocket, almost fumbling his phone on its way out of his tight jeans. "It's him". Alec said. "Let me see." Isabelle reached across the table indicating for Alec to give her his phone. Isabelle smiled as she read the text message that had a bright pink font. "Alec darling, how are things ;) –Mbane". "Maybe, Alec Darling," Isabelle mocked, "You should call him". Alec gave an annoyed shrugged, backed his chair out, and left the room.
Alec, finally reaching the broad door to his room pulled out his phone. "Okay –Alex". He said, replying to Magnus's last message. Alec reached his bed in a few strides, and plumped down on it lazily. Alec was lost in his thoughts. If what I feel for Magnus is different then what I felt for Jace, but I thought I loved Jace, than what was I actually feeling? I know I love Magnus, but the feeling is different from the one I had for Jace. Alec's thoughts were lost by his phone vibrating on the side of his leg. He flipped his phone open. "Call me? –Mbane". Alec was taken by this message, and his cheeks flushed. The side of his mouth twitched. His thumb ran down the numbers to the green call button, he pushed it down with such force he dropped the phone.
"Why hello there Alec, Hun". Alec, upon retrieving his phone spoke, "Hey, Magnus". Alec spoke soft, yet there was a choking sound in his voice, "You wanted me to call?" He knew he sounded insecure, and he scowled himself in his head. "Would you accompany to my party tonight? You did seem to have quite the impact on my guests last time..." Alec blushed. "No need to be shy, I'm quite aware of charms." Alec's cheeks were now the colour ofa bright tomato. "I -, uhhh...that's not really my thing." He really did not enjoy parties. Why would Magnus want him to come anyways? He would all but bring the mood down. "Are you sure, I really wanted to see you tonight…" Alec could practically hear Magnus smile through the phone. Magnus wanted to see him tonight. These words rung in Alec's head like a song. "Oh. Well I guess I could drop by..." Alec replied sheepishly. He scolded himself for sounding so weak. "Great! I'll be waiting, lover." Before Alec could even reply, he heard the sound of the dial tone.
Alec stood on the doorstep, waiting for the large door to open. He could hear the pounding of the bass from outside, and the cheer of the crowd inside. He had butterflies in his stomach. He had gone to Isabelle for some fashion tips and he had to admit, he looked pretty damn good. He had a leather jacket on with the collar popped up, and a brown v-neck underneath. He had on a necklace with a cross on it that loosely hung to his chest , and tight (ish) black pants. His hair was gelled up here and there, and he was wearing black boots. He hoped he hadn't looked to try-hard. Lost in his thoughts, he hadn't notice the large door had swung open, and the most magnificent man stood in front of him. Alec looked up and watched as Magnus' jaw dropped into a perfect O. "You look absolutely stunning." Alec was blinded by beauty as well. Magnus had on skin-tight black leather pants, with a bright pink t-shirt that made his body look ripped. His hair was loosely hanging, the way Alec liked it. Magnus had overdosed on makeup, though. "You too, thanks." Magnus signalled him inside, Alec followed.
