-look!- Nezumi was suddenly presented with a paper crane. He blinked, unamused.

-what?- the taller boy asked.

-if I make a hundred of these, I'll get a wish!-Sion said happily.

-since when did you start believing in such nonsense? And anyways, how did you learn to fold a paper crane?- Nezumi questioned, turning his silvery gaze to book in his lap.

- I found a book.- Sion replied, sitting beside him.- and it's not like I have anything better to do these days…

-right…- Nezumi rolled his eyes.

So three months later, Sion held out the one thousand cranes, held together by a string, and hung them on the door. That same day, a soft voice was heard just before Sion fell asleep.

-Sion…

-yeah?- - what did you wish for?- Nezumi asked, turning around so he got a better look at the couch where his white-haired partner slept. Sion smiled, blushing.

- I wished to be able to stay with you, even after this is over.- Nezumi rolled his eyes at him, before an idea struck him.

- and what if I said I didn't want to stay with you?- he asked, standing up to sit in the couch's edge. Sion's eyes showed his hurt.

-the-then I'd leave….- he whispered, tears gathering on his eyes. Nezumi chuckled and ruffled Sion's hair.

- I said ''what if'', silly. One would think you'd gotten at least slightly better by now, but your speech is still worse than a chimp's.- the grey-eyed boy laughed, returning to his bed. Sion blinked, his tears gone rapidly.

-so does that mean you like me, too?- he asked.

-go to sleep, Sion.-
