10 years have passed in the Orre region since Michael defeated Greevil, and all has been well in said ten years. The syndicate Cipher disintegrated when Greevil was defeated, and all the members are now living out their own lives across the Orre region. Michael, Krane, Lily, and Jovi all still live in the Pokémon HQ Lab, living peacefully. The snag machine that Michael used to take down Cipher now hangs in a case in his room, no longer being able to fit his arm. Everyone believed that Orre would live on without any kind of trouble ever again, but they were about to be proved wrong.
