A\N: Whenever I want my little sister to help me with something, I have to bribe her. So I figure Dr. O would bribe Kira with extra credit to help him clean.
TOMMY
I give Haley my best puppy-dog eyes.
"If you're giving me puppy-dog eyes, don't bother." Haley tells me. "I can't even see it with the helmet on, anyways."
I feel like a five-year-old glowering. "Why can't I take it off again?"
"Tommy, I don't even know how the morphers work, much less what's going on now." Haley explains. She glances over at me, then sighs. "If you're so bored, you could clean."
"Cleaning's boring."
Haley gives me a look. "And now you know why I hate doing it for you."
"But you're good at it!"
Haley's giving me that weird look again, the one where she's considering smashing my head into the computer. I hold up my hands in surrender. "Whoa, whoa, it's okay! You don't have to! Just quit giving me that look!"
"What look?" She asks.
"The scary look the Yellows get sometimes."
Haley now looks irritated to the extreme. "Tommy?" She asks very sweetly.
Uh-oh. "Yeah?"
"There is no 'scary look'. There are also no monsters under your bed. I have a buisness to run, and if you're going to act like you're five you can do it without me." Haley stands up and walks away.
I sit around, feeling more bored than ever. Haley's my best freind. I need to talk to her. Because it's really, really boring, being stuck inside all day.
Then Kira walks in. I grin, then realize she'll go back to hanging out with the others soon. Frankly, I'm willing to spend time with Kira right now.
But how to get her to stay?
My face lights up. "Hey, Kira. Want some extra credit?"
