"Uh uh," Martha Kent tutted as Will Riker attempted to drink from the milk bottle.

Riker put the bottle down. Across from him, Jonathan Kent poured honey in his coffee. Next to him, Clark Kent yawned. Riker smiled. It was funny to think of Earth's greatest hero as tired.

Ever since Geordi and Data discovered the Smallville program in the holodeck system, Riker enjoyed having breakfast with the Kents.

"So, Clark, what do you think you're going to do today?" Riker asked.

In his plaid blue and white flannel shirt, Clark shrugged. "Hang out with Pete and Chloe. Maybe go see Lex."

Hearing that, Jonathan looked disturbed or at least miffed.

"There's a lot of things to do here in Smallville," Riker said. "It's a lot like Mayberry."

"Yeah, you told us about Mayberry," Jonathan said. "What was his name? Sheriff Taylor."

"And his son Opie," Riker said. "But in Smallville, if you get sick of the peace and quiet, there's always the meteor freaks."

Clark rolled his eyes slightly. "Don't remind me."

"I'd like you to meet some friends of mine," Riker said. "Computer. Insert Luke Skywalker into program." A sandy-haired youth in a white toga/jacket appeared. "Clark Kent, Luke Skywalker."

The two shook hands. "Luke comes from humble beginnings just like you. Lives with his aunt and uncle. Just like Dorothy."

"Uh, who's Dorothy?" Luke asked.

"Computer. Insert Dorothy Gale. Judy Garland version."

A brown-haired girl with pigtails and a plaid blue and white dress appeared. "How do you do?" she said with a slight curtsy. At her feet, Toto yipped. Nearby, Shelby growled inquisitively.

"Speaking of aunt and uncle," Riker said. "Computer. Insert Peter Parker. Tobey Maguire version."

"Hey." A bug-eyed Peter Parker grinned sheepishly at the head of the table. He started to drink from the milk bottle until Martha said, "Uh uh."

"Let's head out to the cornfield," Riker said. "Computer. Insert an army of meteor freaks into the cornfield. Battle scenario two. Add Bruce Wayne. And Galactus." He nodded to Jonathan and Martha. "Nice seeing you again."

"You're welcome back any time," Jonathan said quietly.

"You have a wonderful time," Martha said as she put the milk bottle away.

In the cornfield a battle royale ensued. Peter Parker spun webs at Greg Arkin. Using items from his utility belt, Bruce Wayne took down Van McNulty.

Ah, the old utility belt, Riker thought. Bruce Wayne seemed to have everything in there. Maybe even some Bat-Shark-Repellant. Like that was needed in Smallville.

As Rikver grinned at his own little joke, a super-powered Lana Lang hurled Tina Greer across the cornfield.

In one part of the cornfield, Lois Lane hung from a scarecrow pole. Clark, dressed as the Blur, dashed in to carry her away.

On a hilltop, General Lane ordered artillery fire. Galactus swatted the missiles away like insects. When a giant Anubis stepped in front of him, Galactus swatted him away as well. He took no notice of Luke Skywalker swinging a light saber at his armored heel. .

Bruce Wayne and Dorothy together battled a scarecrow come to life. This one did not sing and dance.

Finally, Darkseid slugged Galactus, who fell backwards on a small army of meteor freaks.

When the dust settled, Riker surveyed his holodeck handiwork. Dorothy clicked her ruby slippers three times and vanished. Still carrying Lois in his arms, Clark kissed her, oblivious to the aftermath of the great battle.

Will Riker smiled. "Just another day in Smallville," he said.
