Let it Snow
Powder white snow falls to the earth below landing on the foot plus of snow that had already been on the ground.
Laughter rings out across the quiet Minnesota countryside as two adults stand in the snow. Samantha Carter stands in the snow with her hands on her hips, her eyebrow raised in question. Jack O'Neill stands with his arms across his chest and a smirk upon his lips. He slowly reaches down to the snow and in an instant she knows exactly what he has in mind. Her long legs quickly carry her over the landscape but she's not quick enough as the snowball hits her square in the back.
"Ohhh it's on!" she laughs as she reaches down for a snowball of her own and quickly throws it back at him.
He laughs and quickly jumps out of the way, his speed not dampened by his age. The snowball fight lasts for fifteen minutes before he gets another smirk on his lips. This time he picks up a handful of snow, and quickly walks toward her. She stands her ground but lets out a squeak of surprise as he quickly turns her around and stuffs the snow down her back.
She turns back around and glares at him, but he just grins at her. She tries to make herself immune to his boyish smirk but fails. She's never been very good at doing that.
In an instant a mischievous grin stretches across her face and pushes him back into the snow. He lets out a groan of pain upon landing. She smirks and she slowly straddles him, and his hands find their way to her waist.
His smirk returns in a second.
"Hmmm...whatcha doing?"
"Nothing..." she whispers softly as she leans forward and slowly kisses him.
He groans softly in pleasure as she quickly deepens the kiss. His hands travel up and down her body, setting her on fire.
"Why don't we take this inside?" he whispers huskily into her ear.
"Mmmhmmm." she says contently.
Sam pulls him to his feet and together they walk hand in hand to the warm Cabin awaiting them. The snow continues to fall over the wooded landscape but neither one is aware. A fire has been started and no amount of snow will ever be able to put it out.
Author's Note- Written for openended for the sj_everyday secret santa over at livejournal. She wanted fluff and my muse is in an angst mood and really struggled with this. I'm also archiving this for the prompt "Snow" at 100_tales on livejournal. Thanks for reading and if you liked it let me know.
