Hallo, everybody! I'm in a very happy, yet depressed mood. Thus happened this. I'm an aunt, btw! Alva Linnea Vilda Adolfsson was born 23 minutes past midnight, 20th of November, 2009. She is adorable!
Don't Own. Don't Sue.
"Could you… could I please have a moment… alone?" the broken voice of an old man came. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren nodded and left him alone in his room. He managed to get out of his bed, limp to the desk and get a picture out of the top drawer on the left hand side.
He fell back into bed with a muffled thud, and held the picture up. A woman looked back and waved. He could still remember when the picture was taken, even though most of his memories were dull, he could remember this one, clear as day…
He was chasing her through halls of Hogwarts, their steps and laughter echoing throughout the castle… All who saw them smiled, the war had taken its toll on them all, it was unusual to hear laughter now-a-days. He could see glimpses of her hair when he turned corners, she had an ten seconds head start…
He was crying, silently, now. He always did when looking at this picture.
He skidded to a stop beside her, out underneath the old oak tree. He fell more and more in love with her, each day that passed. She was panting from the extortion, and so was, just not the same amount as her. When she had caught her breath, he rolled over and started tickling her.
"Stop! Please, stop! I give, I give! Uncle!" She managed to get out while laughing. He rolled back onto his back, smiling.
"Y'know something?" He said. She nodded. "I know very many things, just not what you want to tell me." He laughed.
"We really oughta take a picture. One of you, one of me. So we both have one each, y'know? Please?" He added when he saw her hesitant grimace. "Oh, fine. But know that I am very reluctant to do this!" He beamed at her and nodded.
He somehow managed to produce a camera…
Poor Creevey… He never did get that camera back…
… and held it up to his face, ready to take a picture of her, when he noticed her frowning. "Eum… the twins have pranked all of Hogwarts, turned them all into huge, dancing… green hippos and flamingos… who are very proficient in the art of… balancing coconuts on their heads." While she was bent almost double in laughter, he quickly snapped off a photo.
He smiled sadly, and then winced, when another flashback hit…
He faltered, when he saw her fall, brilliant eyes dull. "Oh, poor girl. What are you going to do about it, boy?" came the high, cruel voice of the Dark Lord. He snarled, turning on his heels, a curse already on his tongue.
He winced again, as another pain hit him, this time physical. He knew that he had no time left, having cheated death countless of times.
Harry Potter smiled, and closed his eyes for the last time. A redheaded, hazel eyed beauty in his minds eye as he drew his last breath, her name coming out in a sigh " Ginny…" .
"Come on, Harry! Catch me… if you can!" She laughed, and they were off… Footsteps and laughter echoing throughout the halls of Hogwarts.
His oldest daughter gently opened the door, and quietly walked towards the bed. "Oh, poor old man… Maybe he finally can find happiness in heaven, with she whom holds his heart…"
Depressing, I know. I usually don't like this pairing, but it was just too perfect.
