A/N: Here is how I wish Boq and Fiyero met. In honor of A Very Potter Sequel!
Boq walked into Shiz middle school, feeling his Munchkinness shining through as he watched everyone who was so much bigger than him walk by. He heard a crash and turned to find a boy about his age grabbing his books as they fell out of the bright yellow locker. He organized them before throwing them into the satchel on him, clearly not worried about the organization he had just done. Boq pulled out some of his favorite treat, Red Vines before walking up to the new boy. "Hey I'm Boq. Are you new?" He asked as he pulled out a Red Vine. The boy looked at him before nodding. Boq noticed the blue diamond tattoos that graced his face.
"Yeah, I'm Fiyero."
"Cool. So, uh, care for a Red Vine?" Boq asked as he put a Red Vine in his mouth.
"Yeah they're only the best thing ever." Fiyero said as he stuck one in his own mouth. The two froze as Fiyero's words sank in. They stepped apart and sized the other up. Fiyero moved his left arm in a circle to which Boq mirrored. He then moved his right arm to which Boq mirrored. The two simultaneously did a ninja pose. The two took out the partly eaten treat before Fiyero spoke, "Ok…favorite Aimee Mann song on three, one, two, three."
"Red Vines." Boq said easily. "Favorite color of vines other than green?"
"Red vines." Fiyero responded. "Favorite way to say 'red wines' in a Gillikun accent."
"RED VINES!" The two said together. "OH MY OZ!" The two hugged.
"Where have you been all my life!" Boq asked.
"In a dark castle called Kiamo Ko."
"Cool. So good buddy, let's head on to Algebra! Hopefully Elphie's there already. 'Cause Mr. Jones will kill me because I forgot to do my homework." Boq said as he walked.
With this a new friendship was born.
