Various species break their Oaths, their Honour, their Promises, and even their Morals for something beyond themselves or simply for themselves all the time. Specially four species of six.
An Angel may rid of their Oath to God of the Bible; but they shall become one of the Fallen. Cast out from Heaven least they taint it with their Sin. The only thing they may keep are what's left of their Honour; their Identity; the Light of their Soul.
A Fallen may betray their Honour; but they lose one of the few things they have left after leaving God's Good Graces. They also lose their chance of ever returning to Heaven; to have those Gates open for them once more. Not even a Cleansing shall help them.
A Devil may break their Promises; but they shall receive a mighty penalty for doing so by a non-basis Devil. The non-basis Devil shall take their story, their situation, and their views as one would as a bystander. The non-basis Devil shall give the guilty Devil their punishment they deem fit.
A Human may ignore their Morals; but their Humanity crushes them for it, one way or another. Whether they regret doing so or not. They are unable to ignore their morals and come out unscathed.
Either way, if any of these species break their Word of their Being… they pay for it. Yet it is so easy to forget.
Easy to forget an Oath in a moment of Temptation.
Easy to forget Honour in a moment of Apathy.
Easy to forget Promises in a moment of Greed.
Easy to forget Morals in a moment of Rage.
How could you fault them in forgetting the time when they All Promised, Sworn an Oath, in both Honour and Morale, to An Entity when centuries upon centuries has passed since that Sacred Day of a Unified Oath?
You couldn't, really, especially since the most of the Original Oath Bearers had long since passed.
However…
That did not matter The God of Catastrophe and Conception, as centuries upon centuries are truly just a nap for Them. They had Awaken because They sensed Their Promised One has finally came to Fruition.
Their [Sacred Gear] User has Awaken their Potential. They can clearly Tell that Their User haven't even scratched the surface, however, though They shall fix that – but first… They must take back the Claim over Their User from a lowly Devil.
Oh, that Devil shall be given a hefty Penalty for taking what is Theirs.
"After all…" A voice spoke, which echoed, though it was raspy from severe disuse, "Anything I want… becomes mine."
Ruby eyes peer out from eyelid and long dark-coloured eyelashes, a cold, calculating look appearing as they stare out a dirty window where moonlight shines through and illuminates the dark room.
LOL I DON'T WHAT THIS IS BUT MKAY. Any takers for this idea, hmm? More than one can take it though, so. Yeah. Kind of hoping for a slash pairing between you-know and the OC, but I'm fine with OC being part of the you-know. Honestly, though, OC could be either gender or have none and just picks one they seem to like best.
