Yet another random idea that kept nagging at the back of my mind. Enjoy
Church walked into the Memory Unit and ran through it, desperately searching for her. He stopped and listened, hearing his name being called. He looked over to his left to see Tex standing in a memory, struggling against some sort of restraints. He bolted over and released her. Without thinking the both of them hugged tightly, happy to see each other. Tex pulled back and looked around at the Meory Unit shook violently.
"It's great to see you and all, but we have to get out of here," Church said, exiting the memory and looking around. "Shit, I don't remember which way!" Tex for once in her life was worried, and even a little scared, because she didn't want to be here forever. Being trapped in a Memory Unit was not preferable. Both looked at each other, neither one liking the noise the unit was making. "Sounds like it's closing up." Tex nodded in agreement, but before she could say anything they heard someone say Church's name. "What the..."
"Church! Run towards my voice!" It was Caboose! Church grabbed Tex's hand and did as Caboose had told him, he ran towards his voice. Church and Tex holographically appeared outside the unit and looked over to see the others all standing around Washington, talking about something. Church retook control of his body and looked over at Caboose. If he had a mouth he'd be smiling.
"Caboose!" he shouted, tackling him to the ground. Everyone stared as the two stood up. Caboose looked Church over, glancing behind him as Tex walked over, then looking back. "I found her, but I couldn't remember how to get out. Put I heard you, and you told me to run towards you voice. So I did, and I got out." Caboose smiled and hugged Church, everyone laughed lightly at the sight and Tex smiled. "All right, Wash. Let's make it look like you're dead."
...
When the soldier had walked over to the reds and blues and looked over at all the soldiers, there were three blues and three reds. Just as there was supposed to be. Of course when they got back to Valhalla they built Tex and Church new bodies, taking their chips out and putting them into the new robots. In the end, all of this was because of Caboose. Of course Caboose never shut up about it, and that was annoying. But Church decided that he'd put up with it because after what he did, Caboose deserved it.
That was shorter than I intended, but whatever.
