Lucy's Torn Heart

'This can't be happening.' Lucy grabbed her horns. 'How could I let this happen!' tears started trickling down her pale face. 'Again, I let it happen again!' the cherry-eyed girl screamed.
Kouta's navy blue eyes were filled with fear. "Y-Y-Yuka." He stared down at his cousin's head. Her eyes were lifeless. Blood was all around and on him. Not his blood, Yuka's. The last thing he remembered was Yuka staring deep into his eyes when her head twisted off. "Why? Why did you do that Lucy? WHY!" Kouta looked up with sadness and rage in his eyes.
"I-I-I just did." Lucy was looking down her pink hair hanging down on both sides of her face. She had collapsed to her knees after she realized what she did.
"You don't just do things! You have a reason!" Kouta clenched his fists. "Tell me!"
"She sprang my last nerve. I couldn't take it anymore. She was always flirting with you. It got very annoying." Lucy was a little calmer now. She didn't need to be putting stress on herself. Kouta would put enough on her.
"So what if she was flirting with me! Why'd you kill her!"
"I was…jealous…" Lucy looked down at the ground.
"Jealous? You killed her because you were jealous? Jealous of what?" Kouta started to let the tears pour from his eyes.
"I love you Kouta." The diclonius looked up to face the black-haired boy. "My life has been hard and I am sorry for what I've done to everyone."
"What do you mean 'everyone?' Where's Nana and Mayu?" Lucy didn't answer. "Lucy? Where are they?"
"I didn't want to cause you such pain. I don't think before my actions. That's how I am. Goodbye." With that Lucy took one of her vectors and ripped her heart out.
This is exactly what she has been feeling and she finally let it out. If she had waited just a little while longer she would have heard the words that Kouta spoke.
"Lucy, I love you too."
