Hi Everyone who reads this, this is my second Fanfic and as such it isn't the best so please bear with me. The Fanfic is in a Historical style format so there are no real characters.

Wednesday 29th of July 2156, a beautiful rose sunset painted across the morning skies as "Shanxians" hurried to work and study. The air was brimming with excitement, the new Mass Relay discovered out in the Oort cloud was the main ticket event with everyone excited to know how the expedition was going. Unfortunately the truth was far from what they hoped, Humanity three hours ago had encountered their first Intelligent interstellar race and as the rushed around in Capitol Hill in the Operations room of the Shanxi Defence force Brigadier-General Andrew Williams was handed a transcript that had been intercepted. The Transcript would go down in history as the infamous Shanxi distress call. The message was a distress call that stated there was a hostile Alien force attacking the expedition and to prepare the colony for invasion it was sent by the Frigate Pharsalos. Brigadier-General Andrew Williams immediately sounded the alarm and began organizing the defence of the colony.
As he did so unknown to him on the other end of relay 314 the Turians' were amassing 20,000 soldiers and a 60 strong fleet to assault Shanxi. Brigadier-General Andrew Williams had to oppose them 14,600 soldiers of which 12,600 were militia and 2,000 the 98th Airborne Infantry. At 0900 hours on the 30th of July the Turians attacked, their first objective was the spaceport 2 kilometres from the outskirts of the city. Facing them was 300 men who made up Victor company of the 3rd Militia Regiment. After 2hrs of hard fighting Victor Company withdrew with 189 dead. At 1600hrs GMT the Turians push forward from the spaceport with 2,000 men before them are the 3rd Militia Regiment and 8th company of the 98th airborne fighting continues on through the night.
