I do not own the OC, or anything to do with it other than a love of Seth Cohen and a horse named after Captain Oats. So don't sue me. Call me instead, Josh!
A/N This is my first EVER short little blurb that I have submitted, so go easy on me! It's really short, but I am a novice, so reviews and tips are more than welcome!
A beautiful day. It was ironic, really, that such a beautiful day could harbor such terrible memories. Ever since that day two years ago, he hadn't recovered that piece of self that he had lost, that empty feeling in his very soul. The grief, the anguish, the regrets still followed him.
It was a typically clichéd dark and stormy night, when he received the news from the last person he had wanted to hear from. The voice in the darkness gave him the news, and then left him alone to deal with his raging emotions. He did not know what to do with his hands, just lying there, motionless, on the bed. There was just no way to show his raging heart, the fire burning into his soul, consuming rage and malice working their way into his veins. There was nothing he could do but contemplate times gone by.
Ever since that fateful night, he had been alone, everyone fearing him in is depression. The only person who would have understood was the one who had gone. His confidant, his friend, his brother. And he could do nothing about it. The grief etched lines into his face, yet he could not shed a single tear. Ever since the accident, he was completely paralyzed; eyes open but not seeing, only able to hear the distant voices. The sweet, sweet blackness was drawing closer, and he felt an odd comfort in knowing he could release his family from their ties to him. He could allow them to let go, to move on. Slowly, he succumbed to the beautiful surrender of life, his unseeing blue eyes finally becoming dull and lifeless. He was gone.
In plots next to one another, to brothers reside, together as they should be, family in all but blood.
