Ode for Azeroth
Kingdoms of the old world,
Allies of a time long gone,
Defenders of marshes and mountains,
Of highlands and charred steppes,
And brave warriors and wizards
Who fought for Tol Barad…
United as one in Lordaeron
Through land and sea and sorcery;
All have drank of the victor's cup,
And at once have suffered greatly
Their toll from a twisting fate.
Now the frigid North stirs yet again;
Rumbling within its dens of thieves,
Is a malice that rises from the earth
With another march of the moldering curse,
And the broken slumber of undeath.
O', Holy Light! Help us
Unsheathe our swords of the seas,
Unveil our sorcery of the cosmos,
And remember our pact of yesteryear!
Sharpen our metal and our minds,
For damned darkness breathes its breath
To pillage and plague our Azeroth again.
Let our faiths forge us forward
And light our paths, however different;
For we know no fiend nor lich shall enter,
Where magic, might and Light together,
Form our righteous call to arms.
By this call we pledge our will to protect
Our lives, our land, our children,
The fragile hourglass of our existence,
The unadorned beauty of Truth and Knowledge,
And our freedom to reclaim and rebuild.
Through such noble efforts humbled people seek
To salvage a peaceful song for the future
From the shattered echoes of the past.
