Me: Hi to all readers, I'm here to apologize for my slow update on my story "Childhood Lovers" as I will be focusing on my new story coz it is made especially for Bakugan fans this holiday and I'm so short of time (so sorry), so I decide to finish updating it before winter arrives. Ok, one more thing, I hate doing the disclaimer, I will just go on with the story.
"What! What do you mean you cannot save her, you are a doctor!" a boy with brown hair grabbed the doctor's collar, pulling him up from his chair. "Dan! Put him down." the black-haired loner said to Dan as he leaned against the hospital wall "I know it's hard for you guys to believe, but no one can change the fact that she is going to……" The loner continued, looking at Dan. "Stop saying Shun, stop it. I'm going to be by her side for the rest of her life, no matter what happens." Dan replied, walking out of the room, heading straight towards room 327. Shun sighed looking out of the window where spring is suppose to be full of life and happiness, but this spring felt nothing like spring instead it felt so cold and lonely.
~ Back at room 327~
Dan looked down at the pale-faced girl who is sleeping peacefully on the hospital bed, the doctor's words rang in his head. "She can't live long, at most 2 months. Not even an operation is going to help her survive now. However, we did not know what is the cause of her illness." Dan did not dare to continue thinking, he is afraid of leaving her, even for mere seconds, he is afraid that if he left her, he might never get to see her again. Suddenly, something made his train of thoughts break, it was a familiar, soft touching against his hands. He looked down, seeing her sweet smile across her face, he wanted to break into tears all of a sudden, he could not contain them any longer as he made up an excuse to leave the room.
"Dan," came a very soft voice from beside Dan. "I'm so sorry, I didn't think that it will happen this way…" the sobbing sounds got louder and Dan turned to looked at the orange-haired girl, a look of hatred and anger burning in his brown eyes. "Do you think you can still undo what has been done!" he screamed right into her face, making the poor girl cry even more. "I really didn't mean it…" she said in between sobs. "Dan, it's not Alice's fault at all. What the heck is wrong with you?" the girl stood up for Alice, staring at Dan straight in the eyes. "What the heck's wrong with me, then what the hell's wrong with you?!" Dan was about to continue, when a nurse broke them up before they could get into a fight. "This is the hospital, and the patients need to rest." She gave them a glare, as she walked away. "Amber," shun's hands rest on her shoulders, giving her a comforting smile. She sighed, nodded her head, knowing what he meant, she turned and walked away, bringing Alice along with her, she took one more look at shun, before she and Alice turned into a corner and slipped away.
"Now's the right time." Shun thought as he slowly muttered out the first few words that both Alice and Dan could not take it, Dan maybe could, but Alice…someone just got to bring her away first. "Dan, you know, about her…" he had to trail off, now he wasn't sure that it was a good timing to say anything, as he saw a white bed at the corner of his eye, and what actually catches his attention, is the long orange hair dangling down the bed, and the brown-haired girl beside it. "Oh my god, things just couldn't go any worst today." He murmured, dashing across the hallway of the hospital floor with Dan close behind. "Alice…" was the only word they could drag out from their mouths now.
