Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Too Hot for Thomas" from Season 8. Enjoy and comment.
It was a very hot summer day on the Island of Sodor. The sun was shining brightly, and all the engines were working hard, taking children to the seaside.
The children loved the seaside, and they cheered when they saw the sea.
Thomas wished he was taking children to the seaside, but he was taking a tanker full of raspberry syrup to the ice cream factory.
Down at the beach, it was very hot, with no shade around.
Worse, the ice cream lady had run out of ice cream!
When Thomas arrived at the ice cream factory, the manager was waiting for him.
"We need to make more ice cream!" he cried. "You must go get the cream, the chocolate, and the strawberries!"
Thomas was disappointed. He had lots more stuff to collect.
"If we get everything back here on time" said Thomas's driver, "than we can still take some children!"
So Thomas raced to the dairy.
Thomas arrived at the dairy, and collected the cream.
Then, he puffed away quickly.
Next, Thomas collected some strawberries at Farmer McCoil's field.
"Please be quick!" panted Thomas.
The farm workers loaded his freight cars with strawberries, and when all the freight cars were loaded, Thomas puffed away.
Then, Thomas had to go to the chocolate factory.
Thomas puffed through the hot countryside.
"I still want to take children to the seaside!" panted Thomas.
Thomas puffed as fast as he could.
Then there was trouble. Thomas was going so fast, that the signalman didn't change the points on time!
Now Thomas was on the wrong track!
"Bother!" cried Thomas.
Thomas had to reverse slowly and carefully, back to the points.
He had to wait for Toby and James to pass. They were taking children to the seaside.
"Everyone gets to take children to the seaside except me!" moaned Thomas.
At last, the points were changed, and Thomas puffed off once more.
When Thomas arrived at the chocolate factory, it was very late.
"Hurry up!" cried Thomas.
The workmen loaded Thomas's freight cars with chocolate as fast as they could.
But before Thomas could puff off, the brakes on Thomas's freight cars had jammed!
Thomas tried to puff, but the freight cars wouldn't move!
Then, it happened. With a huff and a puff, Thomas's freight car broke! Chocolate flew everywhere!
No one was hurt, but chocolate was everywhere!
After a long delay, another freight car was attached to Thomas, filled with chocolate.
Thomas waited for the signal to drop, and then he puffed carefully away.
Thomas arrived at the ice cream factory, where the manager was waiting.
"You must now take the ice cream to the seaside." he said.
Thomas was even more disappointed.
Thomas arrived at the seaside, where a group of children were waiting with Percy
The children clapped and cheered! They were excited to see the ice cream.
"Why are the children cheering?" asked Thomas.
"They are cheering for you Thomas!" replied Percy.
Thomas was delighted.
Sir Topham Hatt came over to see Thomas.
"Good work Thomas!" he said. "You are a really useful engine!"
Thomas felt happier than ever.
