Although in meditation, Shaak Ti wasn't unaware of what was going on.

Meditation brought a Jedi closer to the Force... and she could sense something was definately wrong. She felt the Jedi leaving the Force stream, one by one, blinking out like faulty lights. When a Jedi completely left the Force stream, it could only mean they were dead. First, it was only a few Jedi. Agen Kolar and Saesee Tiin were the first. Then, they were closely followed by Kit Fisto. That was when she grew worried; a fellow council member? No. She simply wasn't meditating right, she was imagining things surely. Blinking into reality, she started meditating again, searching for Kit Fisto, Agen Kolar and Saesee Tiin within the Force. Not finding them, she tried to think of a logical answer.

'The Force taking a day off' was not a logical answer.

What if they really were dead? Oh, no. They'd gone to confront the chancellor... then that meant... All that, plus her friend Aayla would be crushed. Shaak Ti had heard of the Mission to Kamino from her friend herself. She forced herself back into meditation. Now Mace Windu had disappeared too. Things were definately not going right. Nothing happened for a few moments. Then. The Jedi started dropping like droids.

Plo Koon, Bariss Offee, Aayla Secura...

She felt the panic in the Force, heard the voices calling out. She slid her obsidian eyes open. She had no place listening to the thoughts of those dying. She heard the door slide open behind her and knew full well who was stepping through it. Tilting her head slightly, she felt Anakin in the force. He was still... half there. Well, less than that. She could still feel a bit of him in the light side of the force stream. "Anakin Skywalker..."

She heard him pause.

"You are here to kill me, yes?" The ignition of a lightsaber answered her question.

"Obi-Wan is still alive." Shaak Ti stated. "If you were wondering about the Jedi all dropping dead. Oh, yes. I know full well you're involved. Can I see the yellow eyes?"

Neither of them knew why, but Anakin obliged, stepping before her.

"Ah. Yes; you've become a Sith."

"You won't escape. There's no one to save, either. I've killed the younglings."

Shaak Ti's charcoal eyes opened wide. "The younglings?"

Anakin merely nodded.

"Anakin... I feel there is some good still in you. I will not lie; I never thought you should be trained as a Jedi. It's too late to argue that now, though, since it's already happened. There is still time to repent, Anakin. You can fix this."

"No. I can't. I need this. I will save Padme." His voice was hoarse.

"Padme... It's the forbidden attachment that destroyed you in the end..."

"Like others haven't broken the code." Anakin defended himself, his eyes narrowing.

"Others have, but, still. It's forbidden for a reason." Shaak Ti shook her head.

Anakin fiddled uncomfortably with his lightsaber.

"Anakin. Ask yourself; is this what you want? To destroy the Jedi? To-"

The charcoal eyes opened wide, before her body slumped to the side. In her last moments of life, she felt Anakin leave the force stream completely. There was no going back for him now. Her eyes glazed over and she fell motionless.

Anakin stared at her, shaking. Soundlessly, he turned and went in search of survivors to eleminate; the Jedi were the enemy after all...

Shaak Ti was just one of many.
