I hopped into the Bentley and looked at my partner, Skulduggery Pleasant. He had his head dipped, meaning he was either sad or annoyed. Probably both.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

He looked at me for a second and said unhappily, "Cassandra has asked to see you about a vision. But I can'y come." He added, annoyed.

I smiled, put a hand on his shoulder and said reassuringly, "Don't worry, I'll tell you what happened in it when I come back. I might get to see you in a dress." I teased and he laughed.

"That will never happen. I'm to handsome!"

"Oh-no!" I mock sobbed. "I've made your ego bigger! Someone shoot me!"

We both burst into laughter and Skulduggery turned the engine and we drove to Cassandra's house in comfortable silence.

Finally, after Skulduggery talking non-stop and me telling him to shut up, we were there.

"Finally!" I exclaimed. "I was about to shoot you with your own gun because you wouldn't shut your non-existent mouth!"

Skulduggery tilted his head, a sign that he was rolling his eyes. "Cruel child. Maybe I should have told Cassandra that you couldn't come."

I laughed and punched his arm. "Come on, were going to be late."

We hopped out of the car and when we got to the door Cassandra opened it before we could knock.

"Valkyrie, it is good to see you." Cassandra Pharos greeted.

"It's good to see you too." I replied, smiling. "I heard you had a vision about me."

She nodded. "Yes. Come in, except you Skulduggery. You can drive around or meditate."

"For how long?" He whined.

"About ten minutes." She answered and went inside. I followed her in, leaving Skulduggery outside.

We walked into the basement in silence and Cassandra sat in the middle, pulling her umbrella out. She opened it and nodded at me.

I clicked my fingers, summoning a flame and threw it at the coal. I walked over to the wheel and turned it on, water spraying. When there was only smoke, I turned it off.

I looked into the steam and saw myself running, and she suddenly stopped. Shadows wrapped around her and she followed them. She was standing in front of a man with a cane, but he was surrounded by shadows so I couldn't work out who it was. But the cane looked familiar...

My eyes went huge when the shadows disappeared, revealing Solomon Wreath.

She stroked my- No, her- cheek and whispered, "How have you been, my love?"

I choked. Did he just...? Oh God...

"I have been good." The other me murmured and kissed him. I stood there, frozen. Thoughts and questions were flying through my head, making me dizzy.

Suddenly, they disappeared and in there place was a girl about 15. She had pale skin, black hair in a loose bun and dark brown eyes. She was wearing a black shirt, jeans, boot and jacket with pink swirls. She had a black and pink Revolver S7W 357 Magnum. A woman appeared behind her who was about 30. I realized with a start it was me, but older.

The older me looked at the girl and asked, "Are you alright, Artemis?"

The girl, Artemis, nodded and said, "Where is dad?"

"I'm here." A voice said and a older looking Solomon walked over to them. Oh good God, we have kids together?!

The vision ended and I felt light headed. Cassandra walked over to me and said calmly, "Your about to faint."

"Well no shit Sherlock." I muttered and did just that.
