Abnormal
Chapter one
Departure
28th march 2008
A soft gentle wind blew through the leaves above them. This specific spot under the tree was his personal choice. Not because he was fond of nature, but because it was where was his son was, along with his daughter in law who was like a daughter to him. Businessmen, family friends and social worker gathered around the grave. Mourners from all over Russia came to attend the funeral.
Only one family member was there. He was let out of the hospital to attend, it was hard to convince the doctors to even let him go. Wrapped in bandages and holding crutches, his hand was handcuffed to the social workers hand. His skin was pale and he had dark rings under his eyes from the lack of sleep. The pain killers had worn off over an hour ago and pain pulsed around his body but the pain in his heart numbed his pain.
Stanley A Dickinson stood by his side, he was the BBA chairman and knew the dead man quite well. He wasn't a friend, but he knew the boy. The boy was who he was most interested in. The minister spoke, his tone full of sympathy. The young boy paid no attention to the ministers words. His head and heart was empty. Nothing but pain in his heart, nothing but confusion in his mind. He didn't know whether to cry or not. He just stood there, like a zombie staring past the minister at something that wasn't there.
He was asked if he wanted to say something, but what could he say? After what seemed like an eternity, the coffin was lowered into the ground. The boy watched the white coffin go down. Silence was around him. No music, no sound, no tears. Everybody made their way back to their cars and head for the club for tea and sandwiches. He would have to go back to the hospital.
He looked at the social worker, his looked rather worried, who wouldn't be if the boy looked at them? 'Can I stay a bit longer?' The boy whispered.
'Five more minutes.'
He looked at the gravestone. He read the words on it, his heart sank at the last sentences.

Eight months later
The two toned bluenette stared out of his dormitory window looking down at the children in the playground for the last time. Dressed in a suit, he waited for the social worker to come and pick him up. His 'suit' was actually one of the other boys school uniform. Bottle green blazer, white shirt, red tie and bottle green trouser. To finish the uniform, brown shoes. His uniform was far to short for him, he looked ridiculous.
The social worker came into his room after knocking. He sighed when he saw Kai. 'Tuck in that shirt, do up your top button and tighten that tie. We don't want you looking a state for your new family now do we?' the social worker spoke with a stern voice. Instead of doing what he told, Kai put his hands in his pockets. 'Suit yourself. Now then when we arrive at the airport I shall introduce to you new foster father. Then you will travel…'
'I know what's going to happen.' Kai interrupted in an irritated tone. He has been told this over and over again. He'll arrive at the airport, meet his foster father, travel to Japan and meet the rest of his new 'family' and live happily ever after.
'Yes well. Get your suitcase, we shall be departing immediately.'
He made his way for the door and looked back. Kai hadn't moved. He held back another stressed sigh. 'Kai. I know things will be hard but you will get through this. And also talk to them. I know it's hard meeting strangers but you are going to have to speak to your new family. There are boys about your age that will be living there with you.' His voice was soft and had lost its authoritiveness. (hahaha that's not even a word! Sorry I'll have to stop doing this, it ruins the story)
Kai still didn't move. 'Ok I'll try.' He took his hands out of his pockets and picked up his suitcase. A new life in another world. Strange. But then again, everything was strange now. Who knows what this weird family is going to be like. One of them was supposed to be a brister, whatever that was. His new brister? What was it again. 'you'll have plenty of new bristers.' Mr Thompson's words came to him. That's right he had loads of bristers, nobody was a brister.
There was another word se- something. He couldn't remember all he knows is he doesn't have one. Whatever it was. Mr Thompson, the social worker, explained an awful to him. Right now he was waving his hand in front of his face. 'Kai. Wake up. We have to go.' Oh great he was daydreaming again. No wonder Mr Thompson always yelled at him, he was always spaced out.
At long last Kai followed Mr Thompson out of the room and down the stairs. In the main hallway an argument was taking place. The owner of the orphanage, Sarah King, was keeping her cool while a man was going of his head. She was always calm in situations like this, she didn't want any of the children seeing her go mad, it was a bad example so he was told.
'I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO MY SON!'
'You have a court restriction. You're not allowed to see him. He's not safe with you.'
'DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE KEEP ME FROM MY BOY! HOW FUCKING DARE YOU TELL ME HE'S NOT SAFE WITH ME! STUPID FAT BITCH!'
'Sir I must ask you to leave or I will be forced to call the police.' Two muscular men came to her sides. They were the guards of the orphanage, they always stepped in when parents, uncles, grandparents or even aunties got violent or refused to leave without their kids. It wasn't very often this happened, in fact it was very rare for this to happen.
'Come on Kai. Cant have you watching this.'
Mr Thompson guided Kai away from the argument, he took him down a few corridors and into the dining room. Most children call it a canteen, but the owner prefers dining room. He could no longer hear any shouting, the man was probably being dragged out just now anyway.
'Now then we'll just wait.'
Mr Thompson pov (this is the first time I've ever done a pov thing. Yeah I know I said I'd stop interrupting but I cant help myself!! Lol)
Thank god he didn't see me. I'd be on the floor if he did. He wasn't to be pleased when I took young Jimmy away. It had to be done, he was being drugged by him for Pete's sake. Hopefully he wont stand outside when I leave with Kai. Oh god he's staring at me, I hate it when he stare's his red eyes are creepy.
'Well five minutes has passed. Shall we go back?' I ask. He nods once. That was all he ever did when i first met Kai, nod or shake his head. But then that was nearly six months ago. Kai didn't speak to me for four months. He never spoke to strangers until he got used to them. God knows what he'll be like when he meets his new family.
Normal pov
Back in the main hallway Mr Thompson signed some paper works. Sarah King said her goodbyes to Kai and at long last, Kai was no longer an orphan, almost anyway. They went outside where a taxi waited for them. Kai wondered what Japan would be like. Would he be surrounded by buildings like he is here? He didn't know much about the world known as Russia, his grandfather kept him indoors his whole life. he has only seen the garden. colourful things called flowers and grass surrounded the garden. how he wished he could touch them. being inside all his life ment he couldn't talk to people age, he didn't even know there were other people his age. he has only ever known the city. buildings all around him, cars and the orphanage he lived in for a mere two weeks.
nobody in the special hospital told him that there was other worlds like Russia. he didn't really know if Japan was another world. he was glad he was getting away from the city. he might be able to see more grass. hopefully he'll be allowed to go outside and touch the snow. he didn't go outside into the playground at the orphanage, he was too scared. He was called a homeaphobia or something like that. his whole life was about beyblade and beatings. his grandfather made him beyblade in the celler al the time if he was practising he was excersing. He got terrible beatings with a long black thing that tore his skin apart and he was always getting punched and kicked. all because he was a freak.
Getting in the taxi he took one last look at the orphanage, he was leaving for good. Hopefully. The taxi drove off taking Kai to the airport he knew nothing about. It was a two hour drive to get there, they stopped a million times at traffic jams. Kai was glad he was leaving this city, it was so noisy. He looked at the radio. 16th November 2008 13:19. He looked out of his window and closed his tired eyes.
'Kai. Wake up.'
He opened his eyes to find Mr Thompson leaning through the door shaking him. He was here. Stepping out of the car, Kai stretched his tight joints wincing as his joint in his elbow hurt. (I get that sometimes I stretch and when my bones crack its sore its really annoying mostly happens at my hip actually)
He took his suitcase out of the taxi's boot/trunk whatever you like to call it and followed Mr Thompson into the airport. Mr Thompson looked around for Kai's new foster father. He knew what he looked like, they met just the other day. At last he spotted him in the airport café. He made his way over to the table he sat at and slipped on something and fell hard on his backside. (I couldn't resist)
Kai smirked and tried his best to hold in a laugh. He's never seen someone do that before. His grandfather once slipped on the bottom step of the cellar and he laughed at him, and he paid for it. Mr Thompson got up with a red face, people were laughing at his misfortune, who wouldn't? 'Come Kai.' He said sheepishly. (baaaa! Sorry again I'm adding my stupid thoughts lol)
He shook hands with a tall, muscular man. He had black hair, a stubble and wore a suit. 'Ah Mr Thompson glad you found me.'
'Yes I did, as you noticed have a bit of trouble getting here.' They both laughed. 'This is Kai. Kai this is Bruce Granger your foster father.'
'Hi.' Bruce greeted and stretched a hand out. Kai didn't move he just stared at him. He put his arm back down. Great he wasn't going to speak to him.
They sat down and drank coffee, except Kai. Mr Thompson asked all sorts of questions. Do you when Kai has to take his medication? Is everything all set at home? Blah, blah, blah…
Off into another daydream Kai went. He didn't really daydream he just switched off into blackness. He was brought back to life around him when a hand waved in front of his face, again. Bruce grinned, he must be bored of sitting around.
'flight 305 will be departing in fifteen minutes.' A woman's voice said over the loud speaker. (I don't know much about airports I've never been in one so I don't know if that's how they announce stuff)
'Well that's us.' Bruce said standing up.
Mr Thompson walked them to the ticket bit. He couldn't go any further. 'This is goodbye then Kai. I wish you all the best and I hope you'll be happy in Japan.' He tried his best to keep a smile on. To be honest, he's never really liked Kai at all.
Kai gave him a half smile that faded quickly. His heart was racing like mad. He was leaving Russia. He was leaving everything behind and going to a strange place with a complete stranger. He didn't even know what a Japan was. He followed Bruce to down the long corridor that lead outside. A huge metal thing with small wheels sat in front of him. His eyes widened. That's an aeroplane? it looked like a giant bird.
He boarded onto the plane and looked at the rows of seats with people of all ages. Bruce let him sit next to the window, he had a feeling he wasn't going to like this. He sat down and ten minutes later a woman was yapping to them about mask and emergency exists. The plane was finally leaving, Kai felt dizzy looking out of the window. he stared to panic. the plane was moving and now it was coming off the ground! he started to breathe heavily through his mouth. he didn't have a clue what was happening.
'Kai? are you alright? its ok we'll be in the air in a minute everythings going to be ok. just dont look out the window.' Bruce told him.
his mind was going mad, he wanted off. He wanted to go back to the orphanage, he was scared, going to another world was freaky. he fainted.
oh my god! i was sorting this out on the document bit and my sister started screaming her head off saying 'help me' i thought she was having a nightmare or something so i ran upstairs and her face is red like always when she crys and she was all panicy saying she couldn't breathe! she has a cold so little nosey was bloked mum blew he nose for her. poor thing. she's ok now she's gone back to sleep.
so anyway thats the first chap up. i know it might be a bit confusing with all this another world stuff but that will be expalined in the next chappy! please review!
