Never Again

Chapter 1: Good to Be Home

Gabriella Montez walked up the front porch steps to her new house in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She had to admit that this house was bigger than her apartment back in New York City. She loved the huge door at the front. It felt good to have this much space. She almost thought that she would get lost in there. But she got over it quickly enough. Hardly anything impressed her anymore.

Gabriella walked into her new bedroom. She smiled slightly at the sight of it. It was huge and she had a balcony. She could hardly believe it. Moving here had been a good idea. Her room was already furnished which was the way that her mother had bought the entire house. All she had to do was unpack.

"Gabi!" a high pitched voice rang out through the house. Gabriella rolled her eyes. She was happy that she had her little sister and brother, who were five year old twins but they could get really annoying at times.

"Gabi!" another voice came. Gabriella knew that if she didn't go the voices would just get louder and her siblings would eventually start crying so she got up and went into the room across from hers. Cara and Charlie Montez both sat on the floor.

"What's wrong Cara?" Gabriella kneeled next to her little sister. Cara looked up at her with tears in her eyes, her green eyes bright with pools of tears.

"Charlie bwit me, Gabi." Cara said, crying even more. Charlie then burst into tears.

"She's lying Gabi. I dwidn't bwit her!" Charlie yelled crying. Gabriela sighed.

"Mom!" she yelled, feeling relief as her mother came up and rushed to pick up the twins balancing both of them on each hip.

"What happened here?" Maria Montez asked her younger children. Gabriella sighed and then silently slipped out of the room before they could drag her into this. She groaned as she sank onto her bed. Her life was not easy and the twins made it no easier. But she was happy to have them nonetheless. She smiled. Her mother had made her bed and some of her stuff in the ten minutes that she had to deal with Cara and Charlie. She would have to thank her for that.

'Well, it's good to be home,' she said to herself, smiling as she closed her eyes to relax.

I wrote over this story because it kind of wasn't going in the direction I wanted it to. I hope you like it. Thanks for reading and bye. Sorry that it's so short.
