It wasn't the most average couple. Fishes and dinosaurs dont exactly go together, if not the fish as a meal for the dinosaur.
But the tale of the aggressive fish lady and the awkward dino otaku is definitely one of a kind.
Anime. What is this, you may ask. In short, its basically a Japanese cartoon with huge eyes and great logic (featuring people flying into different countries just by getting kicked).
Turns out, its more than sparkly eyes and flying pants. Its also what brought our couple of the year together.
"ANIME IS REAL RIGHT?!" Undyne shouted in the middle of an apparent garbage dump. (Kids, if you ever want a more romantic place to bring together a couple, try a garbage dump, its nice and lovey-dovey there.) And to that the kid with the lines on their face exclaimed "HAI, ANIME WA HONMONODESU" (translated to "yes anime is real" but is probably not correct)
Of course, Undyne could've responded more maturely, seeing that she was lead of the royal guard and all. But if you call freaking out and fangirling mature, congrats.
While the fish lady was busy running around the trash piles and shouting "KA-WA-II" over and over again, Alphys was fidgeting about their shared likeness of anime and searching for something to say.
"Undyne…I-I-I…l-like y-"
Mettaton's legs suddenly came out of nowhere.
"OHHHHHH MYYYYYYYY, JUST KISS ALREADY DARLINGS" he exclaimed.
And that was pretty much the end of it. With Undyne still fangirling, Alphys re-unting with her family by jumping into the trash while full of embarrassment, Mettaton singing "hot legs" and Frisk just standing there… with a face palm.
