A/N a little short story while I work on my twilight one. Enjoy this is my POV on what it would be like to get my Hogwarts letter.

I had woken early that morning. The sun was burning down from the sky through my window, making pretty patterns on my room wall. I lay still taken in the warmth of the sun. I drew back my covers and walked swiftly to the bathroom, grabbing my hair brush as I swept past my dresser.

I stared at my reflection in my bathroom mirror my chocolate eyes looking back at me. My face was covered in freckliles, and some spots. Normal I thought, as I began to brush my teeth. I rinsed my mouth out before turning the shower on.

You are proberly thinking "she seems normal" but I'm sorry to bust your bubble. I am not a normal person. I may look it but I'm certainly not!

I'm different from normal kids my age. I can do things that they can't. My parents call it a 'talent'. I just find it amusing. At one point I thought I had gone crazy out of my head. You see a man came to our house one August evening. He was skinny and wore a blue travelling cloke. He was old and had a beard which was tucked in his belt.

At first I thought he was lost, but I was wrong. He explained everything to me and my Parents that evening.

At first I was confused, I thought he was pulling my leg, but then he handed me a letter with my name on it. It was written so perfectly in neat script.

With my hands shaking I began to open the letter carefully. I believed him now, I was still confused mind you but I believed him.

"Dear Miss Miller,
We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts
School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all
necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no
later than 31 July.

Yours sincerely,

Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Headmistress

My mouth went dry; I managed to find words "Hogwarts?" I asked in a surprised tone.

The man nodded "I am professor Dumbledore, headmaster" he said curtly.

"I'm a witch" I asked eyes widening. He nodded with a smile. Now I knew why my parent's called it talent.

All this had happened last night was now out of my shower. I was dressed and sitting on the edge of my bed holding my letter in my hands. I couldn't wait to go to Hogwarts, I guess my life was about to change for the good.
