"I'm tired of it!" Sarah screamed, walking down the hall, Jareth right behind her.
"Don't flush it down the toilet, we can sell it!" Sarah stopped, and turned around to her husband.
"You want our family to be known as COKE DEALERS?" She picked up her pace, but he followed. God, did the castle hallways ever end?
"Just hear me out. I can get over it. I've gotten over it once before..."
"But you went back." She cheered mentally as she found the bathroom, and he grabbed her arm. "Let go."
"I will not."
"I'll leave you." He rolled his eyes.
"Like you could. I've got you trapped here, darli-" He grunted as Sarah kicked him swiftly in the stomach, and poured the bags down the toilet. He groaned even harder as she yanked the cord, and it flushed down.
"Jareth..." She paused as he got off the floor. She peered into his eyes. One blue, the other blue, but kind of brown. "It's for the best. I don't think you should do it any more. A new year means a new life."
"A new life, huh? A life of you finally being my queen?" Sarah grinned.
"I suppose." She wrinkled her nose. "So, can you make that your resolution?"
"Hell no. My resolution is to get in your pants." He grinned, but she glared at him. "And I suppose, you know, quitting the cocaine."
She grinned up at him. "Thank you." He smiled.
"And what would be your resolution?"
"Finally... You know... Confirming our marriage..."
"You know in five minutes we could have both of our resolutions done." He winked, and she rolled her eyes.
"Not yet. I need some time first." Jareth grinned at her.
"Whenever you're ready. Just say the word."
Without a sound, she hugged him around the shoulders, and buried her head in his exposed chest. He felt her eyelashes flutter, and he felt the warmth coming from her eyes. He lifted her face up. "Oh, God, I'm sorry. I shouldn't cry, it's immature..."
He smiled, kissing both of he cheeks. He stared into her deep, brown eyes, that were taking in every inch of his face.
Slowly, she rose onto her tip-toes, and was even with him. "Sarah..."
"You've promised before. I agreed to come, only if you quit." He nodded slowly. "Now... This is a new year. A time for new beginnings. Not a time to break old promises." She stopped looking over his face, and just stared into his eyes.
"Promises be damned. If you're here, I'll never go back on that stuff. You're all of the drugs I need."
"Was that supposed to be a pick up line?"
"Did it work?" She grinned.
"Yeah."
"Then no, it's just my natural charm." She giggled, taking her arms off his neck.
"Come on. It's almost time for dinner." He grinned, showing his vampire-like teeth.
"Yes ma'am!" She rolled her eyes, hitting him slightly. "Oh, and wifey?" She turned around, glaring at him. "Any time. Just knock before you enter my room. Or when I'm using the powder room. If I'm in the bath, you can just burst right in."
"You take baths?" He nodded.
"It's soothing."
"It's for toddlers!" He rolled his eyes, leading her back out into the hall.
He put his arm casually around her waist. "Well, why don't we take a bath together, and I can show you why adults still take baths." She rolled her eyes, grinning.
"In your dreams."
"And in yours my dear. I've heard you sleep talk." Her mouth dropped open. "The walls are thin, chère. You talk, snore, and one time you even sang." She blushed harder and harder.
"You speak French?"
He grinned. "Oui."
"Say something else!"
"Je t'aime et je vais arrêter de se défoncer, rien que pour vous." She smiled.
"Je t'aime aussi, et je parle aussi français."
"Shit." She giggled, wrapping her arms around his neck. He bent down slowly, and their lips finally met.
