I Will Love You Always
Demi lay in her hospital bed, her eyes closed, and her long, raven-haired hair blew gently in the calm wind of the night. The giant, bright full moon shined its inspiring blue light on the girl's face. Her body was thin, and her breath was so calm it was nearly silent. There had always been problems in Demi's life, but things had been much worse. She no longer had the life for life that made the world smile inside.
The door to her room slid open slowly, gently, letting in some of the light from the hallway. A boy equal to age with Demi walked into the room. Following him was a blond girl in her twenties, holding her large stomach, which clearly carried a child. Both carried a flower in their hands. The two walked up to Demi, and put their flower on her night stand: The boy's flower was a beautiful violet, pure and innocent. Soon, however, it froze. The girl's flower was a red rose. One by one, its pedals fell off. The world took its toll on them.
"Wake up, angel," the boy sand. "You are our sunshine. Time to shine for the world."
"The world outside is cruel, but it's people like you who make it all better," the blond woman added. "Don't let it take you away from us."
Demi turned to her side, still in a peaceful slumber: a place to hide from her pain. In a frosted forest underneath a frosted, chillingly blue sky, Demi stood near a lake flowing with water carrying pieces of ice. Clad in a dramatic, light blue dress, the girl walked forward, feeling the cruel ice that is her own shame for her body, and the evil deeds the world had done to her. "I dreamed..." Demi sang, her voice in a calm soprano. "To dream...of a world...where we can see...who we are...and dare to dream...I dream..."
Outside of her dreams, Demi shed a tear from her closed eyes. Her innocence and love could never truly die. The two people were gone, but she remembered their words...
Don't lose hope, Demi...I never will. Come back soon, and please be able to love yourself as much as we love you.
