15 Things About Dana Lewis

The person I chose to write about for my school project is the lady who is temporarily taking care of me, Dana Lewis. I chose to write about her because she is so unknown to her adult peers and my school peers are only obsessed with her being a cop. Nobody takes the chance to look at Dana Lewis herself... instead choosing to only see her as an agent. She's a great person and has her own quirks so I hope you can see that through my essay.

~Her favorite song is "Why'd You Come in Here Lookin' Like That?" by Dolly Parton. Many people are surprised to discover that it fits her essence amazingly.

~Her favorite color is dark blue. It used to be pink but it became too girly for her to admit it in third grade. Secretly, I think it's 'cos her sister Margaret liked pink and Dana can't stand to be similar to Margaret... or anyone for that matter.

~She hates coffee but needs it to survive. She refuses to drink any type of coffee that isn't totally black.

~She words things uniquely and blames it on being "Southern." I just think she's weird.

~She's incredibly dramatic in everything she does that isn't work-related but whenever something normal people would consider dramatic occurs, she doesn't react. At all. For example, I spill milk and she reacts to it like normal people would Oklahoma City but when she gets blown up she chalks it up to being on the job and the resulting wound that requires stitches as a "scratch."

~Her history obsession is the Oklahoma City bombing and she relates everything back to it. I can't have five conversations with her that don't reference Oklahoma City in four of them.

~My friend Elliot Stabler swears her presence is bad luck. She was with him twice in his whole life. The first time she met him he was shot in the arm and the second time she was with him a bomb was detonated when he was in the building. Her argument, however, is that perhaps she is his good luck charm since he is still above ground despite all his injuries received in her presence.

~Her fears are irrational. For her career, she hangs out with the worst criminals, terrorists, drug addicts, murderers, rapists, and scum of the earth every day… and loves it. She's terrified of dolls and turkeys, though.

~She always joked that she has been married twice and divorced once. I am still trying to figure that out since she currently is not married.

~It's impossible to get anything past her—sneaking out, failed tests, skipping gym. She will know. And she will find you. She pretends to be oblivious to lots of things except she's incredibly observant. She can read people like a book, too.

~She ALWAYS has something to say and she isn't afraid to say it. It isn't that Dana thinks her opinion is the best (or that anyone wants to hear it)… she just thinks it needs to be voiced. She doesn't care what others think of her.

~She touches everyone when she talks to them. She especially loves to flick and hit (not hard) men. Her personality is rather charming at times so most people don't mind.

~She is incredibly stubborn. She views rules set in place by everyone else as guidelines but her rules must be followed. She is the best at finding loopholes to rules that she doesn't particularly like.

~She feels no real emotional attachment to anybody. It isn't that she is cold or operates on "screw or be screwed," it's that she feels close relationships aren't worth it. She's afraid of being hurt so she doesn't allow anyone to get too close to her.

~She's an FBI agent. Yes, she frequently handles a gun…since everyone always asks.
