Hope you enjoy, based on the song Story by Anna Leddra Chapman
Marissa Jones you watch the black suits walking past,
Your life was empty for a while,
Michael Porter has a new girl in his arms,
She has a cherry flavoured smile, You watch as he greets her,
His arms around her shoulder,
Lily sighed, watching James hugging a random girl from her class.
She had finally decided to give him a chance after six years of him asking her out but he had to go and be a complete prat so she had screamed at him and told him to never speak to her again.
Now, only one day after, he was already going out with someone else.
This shouldn't have been a problem as she was the one who broke up with him.
Only thing was, she didn't mean it.
She was actually in love with him.
She had gone out with him for four days.
At the start she didn't even like him that much.
At the end she did.
It had started off fine, he was being very sweet and he even tried to stop running his fingers through his hair so much as he knew she hated it.
It had ended when he said something in front of everybody in the school at breakfast one day implying that he was planning on 'getting her into bed with him' that night.
He'll try to believe that it's you,
When he kissed you,
Those delicate shoes used to walk you straight to the moon,
Now he wonders why he ever stayed.
Lily looked back at them, only to see that they were now snogging in the middle of the common room, not caring that there were first years watching.
He broke away for a second and glanced over at Lily. When he saw that she was watching him he looked away again, embarrassed.
Lily thought back to when he had been kissing her and remembered the feeling: like she was floating; like she could walk all the way to the moon if he asked her to.
Michael Porter you flew in from Timbuktu,
You missed her red hair and her style,
Marissa Jones now she's living all on her own,
She loves the freedom of the wild,
He pleads: "Give me something!"
She needs nothing from him.
She remembered how he had come back early when he had gone to Hogsmeade with his friends, saying that he couldn't bear to be away from her beautiful red hair, her emerald green eyes and her smile for so long.
Now she wasn't even speaking to him.
She thought back to the day before, how he had pleaded with her, begging her to give him a second chance, saying that he hadn't meant him.
She had scorned him, saying she didn't need him, saying she was fine on her own.
And she'll try to believe that it's fate
And she'll miss you,
But it's far too late now,
She's done through,
Finished with crying for anyone,
And now she wonders why she ever stayed.
She felt the now familiar sensation of tears prick her eyes but she refused to allow them to spill over; she had done enough crying.
Do you stop to think it all through?
When you run to the love that you needed,
To pull through,
It ended too soon,
And you tried too hard and it's over between you,
Nothing compares to the love you shared,
But it's all just a story now.
And I hope you're both happy now,
As it all turned out: you never stayed.
She ran up the stairs to get away from them.
It was over.
At least for now.
Please review, it's my first songfic so I know it's not very good but I still want to know what you think.
