The senshi were working on a plan. They were talking about our next mission. Ami pointed to a place on the screen. "Maybe if we do an ambush....." I looked over her shoulder and pointed.
"Look there. We could sneak in throug............" For the tenth time that day, I was interupted. Lita pushed me over and pointed at the place I had just mentioned. "What about there? We could sneak in!" The other senshi smiled.
"Great plan Lita!" said Serena.
"Hey, that's just what I sai....."
"Wonderful Idea Lita!" said Ami.
"That's where I said we should of sneaked in!" I said, unhappy. Rei looked at me.
"Come on Minako, no need to be in the spot light all the time. Great idea Lita." I fumed....
"I suggested it!!!!!" I said.
"Mina, you're being jealous! Stop it! No need to steal the idea away from Lita just to get attention." said Serena. I got mad. Madder then I usually got.
"FORGET IT!!!!" The senshi stopped talking and looked at me.
"What?" they all said in unison.
"I quit. I quit. I can't stand you all any longer!" They stared at me like I was nuts. Serena looked at me confused.
"Quit? What do you mean Minako?" I glared at her.
"I quit." I growled. "I quit. I'm not going to be Venus any longer."
"Quit? You can't quit being a senshi!" said Rei.
"And why not?" I snapped back.
"It's our job to protect Serena!" answered Ami.
"Well whoop-dee-do. You can protect Serena, you can fight, I'm not going to! You all don't care about me! You all think Serena's great, Rei's pretty, Ami's Smart, and Lita's strong, and a great cook. What about me? I'm just the slut that tags along and occasionally helps!" I spun, and stomped away, leaving them in shock.Istopped, then took my pen out of my pocket and threw it. It fell by Serena's feet. I took off, heading for the park.
I sat down underneath a large tree. I love that tree...it's always comforting.....I've gone there many a time...Like when Ace died....or when I was dumped by some guy.......when ever I felt bad, the tree was always a safe spot. I don't know why, but it is...
I heard the others's voices. I sighed, and with out mind that I was in my school uniform, climbed up as high as I could get into the tree.
"Were did she go?"
"Let's try that way." I blocked out their voices, looking up through the branches where I could see a tiny bit of sky. Suddenly something moved below me, and a white streak jumped up onto the branch beside me. Artemis. He looked up at me, but suprisingly didn't say anything, just walked over and curled up in my lap. I looked down, subconsiusly petting him.
"Aren't you going to try and make me change my mind? Make me go back to being a senshi?" I asked. He looked up at me with his big emerald green eyes.
"No. It's your choice Mina. If you don't want to, I won't make you go back. But I am going to stay with you...." I looked down at him, then picked him up, hugging him.
"Thank you Artemis." I mumbled in his fur.
"Your welcome." he squeaked. "Mina....not so tight...can't breath...." I smiled, and let loose of him.
"Sorry." He looked back at me.
"So what are you going to do with your life now Mina?" I stopped. Now that I wasn't a senshi, I could do things I wanted to do! I grinned.
"Volleyball!!!" Artemis laughed.
