Prompt: Bolin/Korra, with onesided Makorra as Mako realizes what he's lost. :D - Anon
A/N: Okay I got the title from blink-182's song "All Of This" because well I mean just listen to the lyrics, it goes perfectly with this song. It was weird because I put my itunes on shuffle to start writing this, and then this was the first song that came up. IT WAS FATE.
When Mako walked into his shared apartment after his and Asami's date, what he found made his insides churn.
Bolin was asleep on the couch with the Avatar in his arms, wrapped in a thick blanket. Mako also noticed that she was wearing one of Bolin's tanktops, and that her hair was down, signaling she was here for the night.
Mako stared at the couple, unsure of what he was feeling. Was it jealousy? Anger? Resentment?
Wait, why would he be resentful? He knew Korra liked him, but he never really acted on it for some reason. He flirted back occasionally, but he was never serious with her. He thought he never had feelings for her. So why is he so agitated over the fact that she's in his younger brothers arms, in his clothes?
He continued looking at them, suddenly wishing that he was the one that she was curled up next to. That she was wearing his clothes. He abruptly felt very alone. His heart ached, and he soon apprehended that he did like her. A lot.
The jealously flaring inside of him indicated that. He scowled at his brother, at how he could take her from him. After everything Mako had done for his little brother, and out of all the girls he could take home, he chose Korra? The girl who was interested him, and Mako was actually interested in her back?
He walked closer to them, observing them. Bolin was out like a light, his mouth open, and snoring a bit. He looked at Korra, and saw that she was actually smiling into his chest. Her arm was wrapped tightly around him, grasping his shirt.
Seeing Korra happy like that made his mind click back into reality. He never showed interest in her. He always brushed off her senseless flirting and focused on practicing instead. Thinking about it, he noticed the way Bolin had always looked at her. With longing, admiration, and desire.
Mako sighed, realizing that he needed to be rational. It's not Korra's fault, or Bolin's fault. It was his own. He let her go without even realizing it.
He was now angry at himself, the true person to be angry at. He had been so stupid. He felt like smashing his face into a wall multiple times. He pinched the bridge of his nose and squeezed his eyes shut. He opened them again and stared at the couple once more.
They seemed really happy. And something had to of happened for them to get in that position. He decided to push his feelings away once more, and let his brother and friend be happy.
