You randomly notice the tang of blood. He must have split your lip. A slow trail slides down your jaw, and he readily laps it off.
He is being unusually fierce today. Not that you mind, but a part of you is curious as of the reason. You run your fingers through his straggly black mass of hair again, as he sucks hard at your throat. You think there is a scrape of teeth - no, fangs.
Perhaps you should be afraid, but you are not. It is not like you cannot take on him and come out the victor anytime. Yes, even like this, with his weight pinning you onto the mattress, his muscled body rocking between your thighs, his metal claw pressing against your ribcage, and his teeth over your throat. You had been impaled by a sword, nailed to a wall, and still managed to eliminate your opponent in the end; his hold cannot keep you if you so decide otherwise.
Yet you only spread your legs wider as he nips along your collarbone. There is something different about him, something strained, breaking. You can feel him shaking even as he growls against your skin. You feel like encountering a hunted beast more than a predator. You wonder what have happened.
But you do not ask, just like he has never did when you wake up in the middle of the night and ride off on Fenrir. Instead you smooth a reassuring hand down his sweaty back, gently hugging him close as his human hand scratches at you.
You think that may be a sob when he shifts and bites your shoulder. This time his teeth hold, but do not break the skin. His breathing hot and heavy by your ear, slowly receding back to a more level rate. You can feel him relaxing at long last.
On a whim, you grasp his hand and guide it between your bodies. Slicked with his release, it does not take long to bring you over as well. You sigh contently, making out the curve of lips as he kisses you. Finally.
You drift off with his breath caressing your cheek. Outside, it is still raining.
