A/n: This is a "what if" drabble I had thought while re-watching the Marineford Arc again and it was one of my favorite arcs (set aside Ace's death it was horribly painful). This is a pretty useless piece so if you find this interesting, thank you.

Disclaimer: Let's be real guys, the reason I am writing a fanfic here is because I don't own One Piece.

Summary: The execution stopped and it was not because somebody tried to stop or interrupt them. It was cancelled because the man in the execution platform is an idiot. (In which Sengoku face palmed and Garp is laughing... and an idiot, too.)

Everybody stared at the execution stand where Monkey D. Luffy is being held at, waiting for his execution. The blade of punishment is near at Luffy's chest as a formation when Sengoku stand beside him, holding a Den Den Mushi, dismissing the executioners.

"Monkey D. Luffy, tell me your father's name." Sengoku ordered the captive pirate.

Luffy looked at him blankly and it was soon replaced by a look that obviously say that Sengoku is sprouting nonsense and being stupid.

"I don't have a father. I only have Grandpa and my brothers." Luffy answered him crinkling his nose, a little bit uncomfortable for not picking his nose for almost a week now. "Oh! I also have my nakama." Luffy stated like he won't face his own death in the next hour.

The Marines are baffled at the pirate's answer.

"His father is Monkey D. Dragon, the most dangerous criminal and he is the son of that man." Sengoku announced to the world.

The Shichibukai at Marineford and the other Supernovas at Saboady Archipelago have different reactions at this announcement: Donquixote Doflamingo only stared at the D bearer while narrowing his lips. Kuma deadpanned (He's a pacifista now, he can't do better than that and besides he already know). Gecko Moriah is surprised and then growled in annoyance at the same time satisfied at Luffy's current situation since he'll die in the end. Boa Hancock is obviously not happy for her beloved will die and she didn't care at all who his father is. Dracule Mihawk is amused. For some reasons, Jimbei and Blackbeard are not present.

Trafalgar Law smirked in amusement to his co-D bearer. Eustass Kidd commented that Luffy is really insane for being born in the ferocious family while Killer nodded in agreement. Jewely Bonney just insulted Luffy for being an idiot. X Drake shook his head in disbelief. Scratchmen Apoo didn't say anything but it's pretty obvious he's having a good time. Basil Hawkins predicted that Luffy's chance of meeting death is not even reaching to zero-percent.

Luffy upon hearing this news has a shocking expression that made some hiding pirates under the water to save him, snickered and then laughed.

"I-I had a father?!" the way Luffy had said it made the Vice-Admiral Garp laughed loudly that heard all over the world.

Sengoku twitched his eyebrows and then face palmed at Garp's hollered laughter.

The rest is history…

Alternative Ending that doesn't have any connection at the drabble at all,

The blade of punishment is near at Luffy's chest, when suddenly a lightning struck at the blade as an insulator. Surprisingly, Monkey D. Luffy left alive in that blast of lightning that left the execution platform burnt to crisp.

Somewhere in Fairly Vearth, a certain Goro Goro no Mi user has a constipation and farted.
