Babble:I highly suggest you listen to the song Stand in the Rain by Superchick (? it might be Superchic I'll look into that later)
Pairings: Bunny
Kenny wasn't sure when it started. Maybe it was in sixth grade when Butters' parents divorced and they fought over who got custody over the small blonde (neither of them wanted it). The divorce thing only lasted a few days before they remarried but the knowledge that neither of his parents wanted him must of been a shock to the smaller blonde. After that Butters got...subservient. He tried harder to please not only his parents, but everyone. He wouldn't speak unless spoken to, he did whatever you told him, he always smiled...
The others didn't notice anything different (they hardly noticed the girly blonde before anyway) but Kenny noticed. Before then the blonde would protest and would have to be convinced for a few minutes before agreeing to some things. Now if he had qualms about something he would only frown for a second before plastering on a fake smile and agreeing.
"Hey Butters! Wake up!" Kenny called rapping on the smaller blonde's window.
"Hmm? Kenny?" The lighter blonde had opened his window and blinked tiredly at the other. It was 11 o'clock after all. Way past his 9:30 bedtime.
"Get dressed we're gonna take a walk." Butters looked conflicted for a second before nodding and throwing a pair of jeans over his Coco Kitty boxers and a light blue jacket over his Hello Kitty sleep shirt. Kenny grabbed his hand to help him out of the window before climbing down the tree. Once at the bottom he held his arms out and told Butters to jump. Butters sighed before doing as told and landed safely in Kenny's arms. Kenny rocked Butters back and forth in his arms a few times before setting the boy down. They walked for a while until Kenny said "Butters, give me twenty dollars." The smaller blond fished his wallet out of his jeans and handed the money to Kenny. Kenny frowned. "Butters I want you to be my boyfriend." A nod. Another frown. "I want you to kiss me." Butters nodded and stood on his tip toes but Kenny pushed him back down before they could kiss. "Butters stop." He handed the smaller blonde his money. "Why are you doing this Buttercup?"
Butters started to rub his knuckles together and looked down. "I-I just wanted to m-make everyone happy." Tears sprung to the smaller blonde's eyes. "I just wanted to be needed." Rain began to fall but neither noticed. "Oh god please don't hate me Kenny." His tears started to fall.
Kenny wrapped his arms around Butters and rubbed his back soothingly.
"It'll be alright."
"You d-don't hate me?"
"Of course not Buttercup. How could I?" Kenny tilted Butters face up, "I love you."
The blondes stood in the rain together for a few more minutes just staring into each others eyes.
A/N: Ugh. Did I write that horribly cliched fluffy piece of crap? Yeah this story was supposed to be longer and less cute. And then I had to listen to angsty songs and of course I couldn't have Angsty!Butters without Conforting!Kenny so yeah...
