A/N: Hello all and welcome to the first Zutara story I've written... Ever. So yeah. Be nice. xD
The theme for a drabble contest was Zutara and I wanted to attempt it. I've been trying to think of Zutara plots and only ended up with an epic fic about Azulon, but this is Zutara, not Azulon Hour.
But in all honestly, Zutara is one of those ships that annoy the hell out of me, I somewhat dislike it, and I avoid it like the plague. It was a fun challange.
And it's slightly AU. Slightly.

Disclaimer: I don't own Avatar:TLA or Zutara. Only their actions in this fanfic. I also don't own the song Kathedrale Der Konzentration because Der Plan owns that. Listen to it though, it's good.

She stared across the ballroom. There were people dancing in beautiful gowns and handsome suits. The candlelight made the room appear gold and ethereal, almost supernatural. The floor was like a mirror that made the figures appear as if they were dancing on a sheet of ice. The attendees glided gracefully across the polished wood and appeared to be floating.

She herself watched as the people danced and glided across the floor, wishing she too had someone to dance with. The tan skinned girl watched aimless as the people continued to dance and each song drag on for what seemed an eternity. No one approached her, and she approached no one. She continually watched the dancers with a hint of jealousy and envy.

She continued to stare blankly and take no notice of the figure standing beside her. She turned her head slightly and noticed a pair of golden eyes staring back. She blinked her own sapphire eyes to get a better look at the person standing before her. She recognized the scar and realized that it was the prince and did a quick curtsey. The golden eyed prince smiled back and gently kissed her hand. He motioned to the dance floor and politely escorted her to the desired spot.

The waltz began and they started slowly. At first the music started out slowly and softly. They glided across the floor the rhythm of the music. The music began to pick up and they continued to dance along to the sounds that played. They concentrated on nothing but their partner and the music. Nothing else existed but the other. Soon the music began to fade and the faces and room began to blur as they danced. Everything besides them ceased to exist in their waltz that seemed to go into eternity. They took control of the dance floor, weaving in, around, and about other dancers. Their dance abruptly ended when the music stopped, and when they too had to stop.

The golden eyed prince gave a quick bow and kissed her hand gently before floating into the sea of people. She stood to the side and watched as a new dance began. Her attention began to fade as her golden eyed prince crossed her vision. She looked alertly at the prince who was looking at her while he danced with another. Golden eyes met sapphire as they shared a private dance for a split second. Soon he vanished from her vision and she again began to lose concentration.
