Convalescence
"Yo!" the knight grins when he enters the room, waving a hand "You're looking lively."
The younger man with wild dirty blonde hair just grimaces. "If by lively you mean feeling half dead and stomped by a Virage then, yeah, I'm doin' great."
The former knight just chuckles and sits down next to his friend and lover, the bed dipping some with his weight. He runs a hand gently through smooth bangs, calloused fingers threading carefully over bruised skin. "It's not that bad…"
Eyes as blue as the tormented sea widen a bit at the caress and the younger man scoffs, glancing away. "Says you. I swear it hurts like hell. I just hope my eye doesn't swell shut – I need to see to use my sword…"
Lavitz just snickers. "You know, you can't call me an old man anymore when you rumble like one, right?" Those eyes reminiscent of a perpetual storm snap back to the man clad in green and Dart opens his mouth to retort. Any protests are immediately drowned in their wake by a pair of dry, demanding lips. A soft groan escapes him and he wraps an arm around the older man's neck, bringing him closer.
After a while they part to gasp in some air, Dart's pale cheeks now with a healthier tinge. "If Charle sees us, we're so-" He blinks at Lavitz's wide grin that sends two distinctive signs down his spine: one in the lines of 'this definitely means trouble' and another…more pleasant one goes straight to his groin. "W-what?" He glances at the…key dangling from the older man's fingers. Oh.
"Guess we don't need to worry about anyone seeing us" He raises an eyebrow at the other's scowl. He could really be like a kid sometimes. Kind of cute.
"Yeah, but I'm still bedridden. Doctor's orders…" He sighs because one really had to have a death wish to go against the head nurse's orders. Lavitz just shakes his head, amused.
"That Virage really did a number on you." He says to a somewhat confused Dart as he leans closer. "Who said you had to leave the bed?" The familiar mischievous smirk he gets in return finally dissolves the knot that had formed in his chest roughly one hour ago, when he'd learned Dart had been shot down during battle. He lets his touch and taste assure him that he's still alive.
