Shunned
From the time I was small
To now when I'm big and tall.
They look at me with cold eyes
Letting me know I'm not apart of their lives.
Different is how I was born
With no parents and a life full of scorn.
Forever to be shunned
Forever to feel that painful stung.
Shunned for being different
Shunned for being in existence.
My dream is to be respected
A dream that won't be rejected.
The demon inside of me controls the power
But will never control my actions or my heart.
Shunned I may be
But respect is what awaits me.
My dream will become real
My dream will be fulfilled.
Respect is my life goal
And goals are meant to be known.
I will not hide
And I will not back down without a fight.
I know my life mission
So I will never bow down into submission.
