Chapter One
Info- main character: Lexus Mortem "Lexi" 16 sophomore , love of her life Riddick Kane 17 sophomore, who is not who he turns out to be.
It was June of 2000, I was walking home late one evening from Stanley Park which was a few blocks around from my house. I live with my older brother Derek, he can be a hot head at times which is part of the reason I stay out at the park and not at home. Our parents were murdered around the time was 9 and it was a fire that was set by my brothers ex-girlfriend Sheila. She wasn't convicted because she was a Agro their family smi-rich her brother and father are both big time lawyers, so they prosecutors and police were "not able to find evidence" to tell this was an arson. So they would not have a huge investigation go on they expected anyone who was in the house was killed except when the firefighters found someone who survived a witness maybe, that person was my uncle Damon.
It's now been years since the fire that killed basically my entire family, I only have my brother, uncle, and two sisters that I've never met Angelina and Yvonne they both moved out before I turned 2. I'm now returning to my second year of high school at Rockbreak, which is in Castleyard that is a mile from Knife's Edge where we live. People at school describe me as depressed, emo/scene, rebel, and rude at times only because people get on my nerves, I like to be a rebel and no I'm not emo at all I am scene period! and not fully depressed just sad majority of the time. I love to mostly wear black, red and purple because that's just me. School is hard for me when the hole town knows about how all of my family died and some like to make fun about it. But if they only knew who I really was behind this wall I have, only actual person who knows me is my long time crush/ best friend Riddick Kane 6'4, medium build, six pack, gorgeous blue-green eyes, sexy voice that just melts your heart.
Riddick and I walk to school together sometimes but never really hangout like we used to, it's been a few days since school started and I was at my locker looking for my Spanish textbook "loud ring" ahh there goes the bell for third knowing I will already be late I keep searching for it until I gave up. As I started to head over to class with my earphones in listening Pierce The Veil-king for a day when I walked into Riddick and his slut of a girlfriend Valerie, who very much hates me after I beat her ass for making up rumors that I had got pregnant twice by Isaac Francis on the baseball team. Valerie tell me in a very high pitched voice; wtf Lexus! watch where your going, you almost ruined my heels!. As I was about to tell her off I was cut off by Riddick saying just let it go, she scoffs off and as he started to walk back to her, his eyes connected with mine and I swear I seen compassion and love.
