i. Dean
Sam moaned in his sleep, twisting in his motel bed while Dean watches.
"No. Jess!"
Dean leaves the table and the now abandoned laptop to stand by Sam's bed. Research always comes after little brothers.
Sam gasped "Jess!" again and his hold on the blanket tightens as he turns away.
Dean leans over, lips pursed, to hesitantly brush Sam's hair back from his forehead.
He stays quiet as Sam calms down slightly, his hands relaxing their grip on the blanket.
Dean returns to his chair, releasing the breath he was holding and wishes he got his brother back another way.
ii. Sam
Sam glanced up from his cell phone. There was Dean, lying on the bed, twitching and grimacing.
Dean was silent, only mouthing his pleas or screams or whatever they were, twisting the blanket under his fingers.
Sam scowled. Even in his sleep, Dean was trying to hide his dreams.
Sam glanced back down to his cell phone and deepened his scowl. It hadn't rung.
Sam looked up in time to see Dean throw his head back in one, drawn out, silent scream.
That was it. Grabbing his jacket, Sam stood up and left the motel room to call Ruby himself.
Let's ignore that fact that this is nine hours late and I still have homework to do for a second.
It bothers me that both drabbles start with "Sam."
And I stumbled through the first one. It almost pains me to post it.
