I don't own anything.
For the first few minutes, it was pitch black. After awhile, the lights started. Occasional flashes of orange and red and white.
"Annabeth, are you okay?" I said. It was eerily quiet as we were falling.
"Percy... I'm scared." She whispered. I tightened my grip on her hand and pulled her in, wrapping my arms around her waist, we were now falling as one unit.
"I know, baby. I know." I told her.
"When are we going to stop falling?" She sobbed.
"I don't know." I replied. I'd been choking back a scream this whole time, I had to stay strong for Annabeth.
"Percy I don't know how long I can avoid screaming." Then there was a flash of white light. He saw her face, panic stricken and covered in dried blood.
"Just don't think about it, Beth. How's you're ankle?" I asked, trying to distract her.
"It hurts, but I think that the ambrosia is starting to kick in." I sighed in relief.
Then, the noises started. There was moaning and screaming and creaking. We must be getting close. Annabeth was scared out of her wits now.
Welcome to Tartarus, my meat. Gaea's voice boomed. Annabeth buried her head in my chest and kept sobbing. Then, I could see. I could see the lava, the twisted trees...it was horrible.
"Annabeth don't open your eyes. Relax, it's going to be okay." I felt her nudge her head to the curve of my neck and tightened her grip around my waist. I could see the ground getting closer. I cursed.
"I love you, Percy." She said.
"I love you too, Annabeth. At least we're together." I pulled her as close as I could and held on as tight as possible.
Then we hit the ground, and the evil goddess' laughter echoed for what seemed like hours.
