Abby Maitland lay awake one morning, not wanting to open her eyes to the bright sunlight that would no doubt be pouring through the crack in her curtain because neither she nor Connor knew how to fix it. She was having one of those in between moments when you're not quite awake but you're not asleep either whilst she tried to ignore the pounding in her head. Why did she always have a hang over after one glass of wine? Maybe two... but the problem was that she couldn't actually remember how many she'd had so who knew how many Connor may have forced down her in another pathetic attempt to get her to snog him drunk. She wasn't worried though- she knew she wouldn't kiss him even if she was drunk. Abby mulled over in her mind what she had to do today- there was a lot of it: first force Connor out of bed and that would take a while (but only God knew how long); make a shopping list (yawn); go shopping (double yawn); do her (and probably Connor's) ironing maybe whilst watching that TV show she recorded on Saturday although it would probably be a load of rubbish (another pathetic drama with something to do with time-travel and some pretty blonde girl who everybody fancies the pants off and a nice fit guy who she likes but he doesn't like her and her weird intellectual geeky friend does... the sort of thing they put on on a Saturday evening that everybody watches even though they weren't in the slight bit interested in that kinda stuff... oh who was she kidding? Abby was a complete sucker for stuff like that!); dye her hair; explain to Connor (again) why she dyes her hair; have an argument with Connor about whether they are good enough reasons when he protests bitterly that he likes her sandy coloured hair then her peroxide blonde look and she'd yell at him for not saying that before she dyed it and the argument would spiral from there; he'll want an arm wrestle to be the decider on this and she'll probably agree, just to prove her point; then he'll want a card game because he lost the arm wrestle to a girl ("That didn't count"/ "I wasn't really trying"/ "I let you win" etc.); after winning several hundred card games, and therefore the hair dye argument, she'd want a mug of steaming hot coffee; then Connor would be in a strop and she'd have to persuade him out of it; he'd only come out of his strop if she watched Star Wars with him so she'd have to watch a two hour-long film when she could be doing something better with her time... and the list went on. None of them were particularly nice things to do, but were things she had to do all the same. And that was if an anomaly didn't turn up, which was about as unlikely as Connor restraining himself from his laptop for more than 7 hours in a row. And that was on the odds of about 660:1 (ie- extremely unlikely). And also without mentioning the inevitable: "Nag Connor about something" which usually happened between everything else she did. In fact that should have been one of the first things she did. Waking up with Stephen should NOT.

Do you want more? I know the list is a bit long-winded for a one-shot but hey. I have written more but not sure whether to put it up or not. It's set in episode 6 series 1. Yeah so review if you want more!
