A/N: Hello everyone! I felt as if I had to get this poem out quickly for a couple of reasons to it may not be the best. :/ First because today is my birthday and I really wanted to get something out on this day. Second is because my computer has to go to shop next week and I wanted to let you all know I may not update 'Another Tomorrow' until sometime in April-whenever I get my computer back. Unless I can finish this chapter before I have to send it in. We will see.
Now about the poem. As you can possibly tell my the title, it is about Elijah from TVD-whom I love. I tried to capture what I think he goes through... but I don't know if it worked. Elijah-Never Defeated
A Gentleman's facade is what he wears.
For the Killer who lies within,
Struggles to the surface for just a glimpse
A glimpse of what could be.
What should be.
Valor and Wisdom are what he seeks
Striving for Honor
Always trying to do what's right-
But gets tangled up in doing what's best
For his Family to protect
His Name to defend.
Everything always just a means to the end.
Disgust for the monster he has been
Resonates throughout his soul
Daily, mistakes of the past haunt him
Teasing him always of restraint he had lacked.
A pause in the game and falter he may,
Yet, never knocked down.
Heart rarely stirred.
Making sure he gets what he deserves.
For in his mind He's tried his best
To find his Purity
To keep his Strength
For in this race of wills he Stands.
Trusting in Salvation and Faith within,
Never Defeated
