So this spawned from a boring day in science when I made a ring of paper clips and called it my ring of power. My teacher still thinks I'm a nutcase...

I do not own Lord of the Rings.

It began with the forging of the great rings. Three were given to Office Max, the largest and best stocked office store. Seven to Kinko's, great printers and copiers. And nine, nine rings were gifted to Staples, who above all needed to avoid bankruptcy. For within these rings was bound the will and cunning to manage each company. But they were all of them deceived, for another ring was made.

In the land of Frojo, in the back of the farthest Kinko's, the dark lady Veasse forged, in secret, a master ring to control all office supplies. And into this ring she poured her iron, her steel and her will to hold the world together. One by one, free Office Maxes around the world fell to the power of the ring, but there were some who resisted.

A last alliance of pens and pencils marched against the paper weights of Frojo and on the roof of a random Staples, they fought for the freedom of all office supplies.

Vicious orcs replaced by angrily clicking pens

Elven archers replaced by whizzing staples

Victory was near, but the power of the ring could not be undone. It was in this moment that Mead, son of the paper printer picked up his father's ink cartridge.

Squirts ink on the ring and on Veasse

Ring slips off and Veasse (like Sauron) is "destroyed"

Veasse, the enemy of the free office supplies in stores around the world, was defeated.

The ring passed to Mead who had this one chance to destroy evil forever, but the ink of pens is easily corrupted and the ring of power has a will of its own. It betrayed Mead, and forced him to work at Staples replacing light bulbs. And some things that should have been fixed, were broken.

Time passed and for seventeen years the ring passed out of all knowledge until, when chance came, it ensnared a new bearer. The ring came to the calculator Oriocon who took deep in the basement of a nearby Kinko's and there, it consumed her. The ring brought to Oriocon unnatural organizing skills and for several months she cleaned.

Equality spread over the business world once more. Rumors grew, whispers of a nameless fear and the ring of power perceived. Its time had now come. It abandoned Oriocon, but something happened then the ring did not intend. It was picked up by the most unlikely creature imaginable, a glue stick: Alassiel of isle five. For a time would soon come when glue sticks would shape the fortunes of all.

Well that's all. Short but whatever. I amused myself and that's all that matters R&R Please!!
