DISCLAIMER: I don't own Soul Calibur, Cassandra, Sophitia, Soul Edge, Ostrheinsburg, or anything else, nor do I claim to. This is not for profit, but merely for fun.

The uncertain gazes
The more uncertain hearts
The indecision for action
The hesitant battle imparts

The flash of metal
And impact on steel
A story of hardships
The sisters' clash reveals

To destroy an evil sword
And rid the world of sin
To fight a monster in tainted armor
And save the man within

To be enraptured by the world
That had gone too long unseen
To save the world in her place
And shield her from the unpleasantry

Whatever reasons each may have
Seems forgotten now
Not a scratch is on either
As if their souls will not allow

Until, finally, a strike is landed
Crimson splashed upon torn white
Twin gasps echo through the ruined chapel
One of anguish and one of fright

Apprehension fills the cold night's air
Worrydominates the inflictor's eyes
Pain flows through the victim's body
As the once-conflicting sisters begin to cry

The eldest collapses to the ground
To her bleeding shoulder her hand grips
The younger sibling rushes over to her
A distressed apology upon her lips

"Sophitia, I'm so sorry," is spilled forth
As the young warrior kneels
The injured woman smiles at her
She knows, with time, the wound will heal

Except suddenly she is overcome
With an unbearable sense of fear
She would know why when she discovered
What she was next to hear

"But everyday gets harder
When you can hear the dark sword calling
The madness in me is rising
Just as surely as I'm falling"

She pulls out a shard of the blade
Emanating an eerie red
With that, she raises her weapon high
To strike her sister dead

Soul Edge quivers with delight
As it watches the scene unfold
This is a tale of souls and swords
Eternally retold.

A/N: What happened! What happened! Yeah, I know, it's semi-inconclusive. I did that on purpose :P Also, I forgot to save this version and accidentally uploaded the crappy-happy ending, bleh! Anyway, from what I gathered of Soul Calibur 2 (and correct me if I'm wrong) Cassie travelled the entire time with a shard of Soul Edge. She wasn't exactly the saint her sister was (she damned her own gods O.o;;), so... Here we are. Review!
