LIFE WITHOUT FRED
Harry was standing near the lake and was looking at George and Ron fooling around in the water. George without Fred looked incomplete to Harry. George was trying his best to be his usual happy self because he doesn't want Molly to be any more depressed then right now. He also doesn't want anyone to pity him. Sometimes, Harry caught George talking to himself and referring the empty space beside him as Freddie. Some other times, Harry heard George introducing himself as Fred to strangers.
Times like this Ron was always there to pretend to be George's other half. Ron changed himself to accommodate George. He learns to be more mischief, more Fred like. It's true, Harry do spend most of his time with George and Ron but he misses his best friend more a lot more at times like this. He knows the Ron with him right now is not really his Ron. Not his immature and happy go lucky Ron. This Ron is too mature for his age.
Well, nobody can blame Ron for that. Most of the kids who went through the second war were too mature for their age. Facing a world full of evil can do that to anyone. Ron and George were losing themselves for someone they loved, their brother. Harry was drowning with them because every time he looks at them, they remind him of his one true love. Fred.
"Fred, are you watching us? Your brothers miss you dearly, Fred. They are pretending to be moving on while standing right behind you and holding onto your memories."
"For me…the bed feels so cold and empty without you Freddie. Most of the times, I'm afraid of setting my foot beyond our room. Every crook and corner reminds me of you, Fred. Our first kiss behind the third floor alcove. Our first date at Hogsmaede. Our endless night adventures at Hogwarts Halls. Every single things reminds me of you Freddie. After Ron and George's departure to Egypt, I will be joining you Fred. Wait for me just a little more…"
