A/N: Just a little drabble that I thought of, let me knnw what you think!

Oh and, sadly I do not own Criminal Minds.

"It wasn't your fault." Derek Morgan's quiet tones assured Penelope Garcia.

They were sitting side by side in front of a grave. Not just any grave though, it was the latest victim's grave. The girl had only been eleven years old when the unsub snatched her and killed her. Garcia had been forced to watch the horrifying events play out knowing she couldn't save the little girl. Now days later, the guilt had finally reached its peak and Garcia's walls were crumbling.

"Then why do I feel like there is blood on my hands Derek? It's her blood and it won't come off." Came the broken reply. The hands mentioned were shaking and clasped so tightly together they were white.

Derek felt his heart break. Penelope was so pure, so innocent. She didn't belong in his world, in this world where she was forced to witness terrible things. He wished again that he could have traded spots with her, he would do anything to take her pain away.

Gently Derek took her hands and worked patiently to unclasp them. Once he had managed to break the death grip she had, he brought each up to his mouth. Kissing each palm softly he said, "Penelope these hands have done many things. Wonderful things. The hands have saved lives-my life countless times. Without these hands I wouldn't be alive"

He then moved her hands to place them on his chest over his heart.

"You feel that Baby Girl? That heart is beating because of you."

He felt Penelope sagging into him and he wrapped his arms around her, gladly giving the support she needed.

Sensing that she was about to break Derek gently murmured, "Let it go Pen. I'll catch you." as he held her even tighter against his chest.

Only then did Penelope start crying. She sobbed over the girl. Mourned her death. All the while Derek stood guard, holding his girl and waiting for her to come back to him.
