Juleka couldn't believe her eyes.
Well maybe she could, if she was honest. She knew that Luka had been in love with the girl in question for some time.
What she was surprise by was the fact that the object of Luka's attentions was currently laying naked on his bed with a thin bedsheet between her and the world.
And it was good for him to find someone new. His heart had been crushed by unrequited feelings before. There had been that English girl Rebecca, who was more interested in Juleka than she was Luka. That had been awkward.
Then there was Bridgett who had rejected him for another boy and Marion who left before he could ask her out. He had even gotten close with Marinette before she started dating Adrien.
And every time, Juleka was there to listen to his heartbreak and his sorrows. The sad music, the poetry of dubious worth, the lot.
Juleka always knew that her brother would get lucky one day. One day, he would find someone who felt the same way about him. It was a matter of probability if nothing else.
She just didn't expect him to keep it a secret this long and she certainly never expected it to be with her best friend Rose of all people.
Before she could slip away, the two began to wake and she grinned. This was going to be fun!
