Charlie stood in the water, bathing himself. Stripped down to his boxers, Charlie cupped the warm Pacific Ocean in his hands, threw the water over his sweaty back, and enjoyed the warmth of the water.

"Cute boxers," said a voice.

Charlie turned to see Kate, one of the survivors on the island. She tried not to snicker as she saw Charlie in his boxers, which had pink hearts over them.

"Yeah, they're very sexy," kidded Jack, another survivor on the island. He looked very serious.

Charlie gave them a Look. "For your information, they were a gift," he replied, a bit defensively.

"Yeah, of course, they are," they said in unison.

"I mean, I don't think you would actually buy them for yourself," Kate said with a smile.

Charlie smiled as he turned back to bathing himself. After a few minutes, Charlie dried himself off with a towel and put on the only clean clothes he could find, which were his jeans and blue T-shirt with it's matching blue sweat jacket. Charlie sat himself down by the waterfall. He took his guitar and began stumbing along. He began singing a song that he wrote a few years ago.

"Wynter, your beauty falls on me like the snow of the sky," he sang. "Wynter, your kiss warms the cold on my lips from the sky."

He stopped when he saw Jack. He said, "Well, don't stop on my account."

Charlie, sheepishly, stood up and said, "I didn't think anyone heard me."

"Well, that's a gorgeous song," said Jack, as he helped Locke who had carried a big bag.

"Thank you," Charlie replied, as he helped the two. When the two were done, the three men sat down and looked at the waterfall.

"It's about Wynter, huh?" Locke said.

Charlie looked at him and nodded. "Wynter" was Charlie's girlfriend from his days with the band, Drive Shaft. They had dated for five years and were engaged to be married. However, one night in England, Charlie and Wynter were driving on a rainy road when an out-of-control car hit them head on, Charlie escaped with a few minor injuries. Wynter, on the other hand, died instantly. Charlie had buried himself into a drug-induced depression that lasted for a while. Charlie had had an encounter with Wynter as an angel and she helped him face his demons. Since then, Charlie had been clean and trying to stay that way. He had even tried to think good memories of Wynter, who was his soul mate.

"Yeah, I wrote it for her when we celebrated our first anniversary as a couple," Charlie said proudly. "She absolutely loved it when I played it for her. Her eyes, she had these beautiful, sweet blue eyes, would sparkle in a way I wouldn't see anywhere else."

"How did you met?" Locke asked.

"Yeah, you didn't tell us," said Jack.

Charlie felt hesitate to talk about her. His memories of her were very personal but Locke felt that if Charlie would to talk about her, he would feel comforted.

"Well, she was a music journalist from America, Southern California," he explained. "Drive Shaft was performing in London, just before we got the record contract and she was working for an up and coming music journal and she really like our sound..........."
