A Love That Never Was
Voldemort knew that Bellatrix loved him.
Bellatrix knew that she loved Voldemort.
Bellatrix also knew that Voldemort was out of bounds.
Voldemort knew that Bellatrix would never dare to confess her love.
Bellatrix had married a wealthy pureblood and there was no going back from there, whether she loved him or not.
Voldemort didn't love anyone at all.
Bellatrix followed her master with the utmost devotion, hoping he'd notice her more.
Voldemort expected devotion from everyone, so did not notice her any more than he did the others.
Bellatrix watched Voldemort with attentive eyes.
Voldemort only glared at everyone.
Bellatrix listened in awe as he spoke.
Voldemort barely payed attention when she spoke to him.
Bellatrix faithfully followed him into battle.
Voldemort expected no less.
Bellatrix ultimately died for her master.
And in doing this, her master finally realised the love she had for him.
