A Great Disappointment
The story brings us to the Green Donut Café one sunny afternoon when Spencer, Freddie, Sam, Carly and Wasabi were chatting over something when the doorbell suddenly rang. Freddie and Spencer went to the door and Spencer gave Freddie a lift to reach the door knob.
When Freddie finally reached the door knob, he opened it and Spencer put him down gently. A man looked excitedly at Freddie and said, "Hey Freddie, I heard you struck one hundred thousand dollars in the lucky draw! Is the number "2800"? Wow, you so lucky." Freddie gave a silly smile while Carly burst into joy. But when Freddie tried to get his ticket, he could not find it in his wallet. As a result, Freddie searched around frantically and the man slammed the door and left when he thought no one was paying attention to him.
Sam went over to find Freddie panicking desperately. "What's wrong Freddie?" asked Sam curiously.
"Where's my wallet?" exclaimed Freddie as he threw his hands up in the air panicking. "I haven't seen it," said Sam. She too was feeling frightened. If Freddie couldn't find the ticket, they would not get one hundred thousand dollars. Freddie slapped his forehead and said. "I threw it in the bin! I must have mistaken for the rubbish."
Immediately, Freddie ran as fast as a lightning into the five characters' headquarters.
"Isn't it great that we will get one hundred thousand dollars?" asked Sam to her friends, Spencer, Carly and Wasabi. "A hundred thousand dollars? That must be a dream that come true. Yay!" cheered Wasabi full with joy. Then, Sam went into the five characters' headquarters as well.
After that, Spencer did a funny little dance while Wasabi laughed out loud. Carly used her phone to contact her cousins to tell them about the amazing news. Jubilantly, Wasabi did a cartwheel and landed on his bottom. Spencer, Wasabi and Carly looked at each other and they started laughing loudly.
Suddenly, the three of them realized that it was completely silent in the five characters' headquarters. Hanging up the telephone, Carly grabbed Wasabi's hand and she, Spencer and Wasabi rushed into the headquarters. Bursting into the headquarters, Freddie was standing still; his face was white as a sheet of paper and was trembling with fear. Freddie's hands were trembling and in his hand was a paper slip. Sam was standing with fright with her mouth agape. The dustbin was tipped over and litters was scattered all over the floor. At the corner of the room was a leather wallet.
Then, Freddie's grip loosened and a paper slip fell out of his hand and fluttered onto the floor.
On the paper was the number:2900.
Moral: do not gamble or buy the lottery. Work hard and invest the money well.
The End
